I'd love to hear some income secrets for relic, aside from the "I'm 100 in 8 crafts, lulz"

I'm 95 in a craft, I solo enough seals to do 2 runs of BC40 and KS30's a week on a good week, and I honestly can't seem to bring in more than 400~ currency a month without digging into the money I keep aside for sponsoring runs. (not counting currency I gain from the runs, obviously)

Going so slow

My past probably...10,000 currency was sponsorhip only pretty much. I couldn't have afforded it otherwise.

I dunno...Str+5 for a ws with a 60% STR mod...?

Yea, but after dynamis the only thing I was thinking about was knocking this shit out lol, I could get a Forager's Mantle too but just wanetd to get the knife :D then i was close to Boyahda Tree so we decided to go testing first. Coming up next few weeks though is levelling WAR sub and DRK sub.

Drk sub not that useful for you anymore. One hit WS will hardly be effected by Souleater. Souleater shines on the multi-hit ones.

100 alchemy (not that it's very profitable anymore) + 75THF + seal usage + NM/Sky/Limbus coins + I sponsor some LS runs for me. Looking for better things to farm, not going very well atm, I'm actually farming spiders right now XD

What I usually farm is the areas in the beastman strongholds where the God NMs pop. Spells (R2 is worth a good amount, like 140k still) / Seals / decent XP / Coffer keys (a good run I can pop 2-3 coffers) / and gil per kill.

It's all I can really stand to farm, almost dying when I link a ruby and adaman quad is way more interesting than farming buffalos.

My boyfriend Lucien (of Ragnarok) has Excalibur, it was a joint effort on our part to fund it for him, but a big part of it was selling currency we weren't using or trading it with other reliable dynamis linkshells. Between us, we sponsored each run; 2M per week is costly, but after stage 3, there will always be currency you aren't using at that stage, so you can sell a 100 coin and be set for another 6-8 trips.

That was the case at the time, however, the price of currency has dropped drastically on Ragnarok, thus making this probably ineffectual, as selling the 100 coin probably wouldn't be worth it any longer. D;

Now Lucien has an excalibur and must do my bidding in bed.

The 3000 currency you recieve after relic, is there any discussion or reason to it?

No discussion or reason lol. The NPC who gives you the relic isn't even the ones that gives you the currency back. After he's done talking to you it just says Obtained: Mandau and 30 100 byne bills appear out of thin air.

well that's how FF's NPC give you items, talk to sagheera, buy a cosmo cleanse off her, she'll give you it and it'll say "Obtained : Pootube".

Anyway, dont feel too bad about not having /war with a finished relic. My war was lvl13 when I finished mandau, didnt level it for the longest time ever, and I was in NQ War beret and hume RSE.

but yeah, /war greatly complements the dagger, you see the 3x happen more since you're giving it more chances, also you're not forcing it to share room with something else, it just wont put up as high WS numbers but it'll be more consistant instead of fluctuating. I've still managed to pop out over 2500 with mercy on flies(with obvious bard/meat) with /war, DoT is great. I /war anywhere I can, the only time I /nin is in LS parties or small things where it's only me + 1 other DD bouncing hate off eachother with bards and rdms working their magic on us.

Well, that post was sarcastic (the "definately not me" one). Of course I'm jealous, I want to be done my Mandau now But Divis and I go way back over on the amazing thf forums of Allakhazam, so I can get away with that :D

Yea, for meriting I'm still going to go /NIN for a while. The main reason is that this is (obviously, given my choice of subs) what I've gone with for a long time so it will allow me to most easily see the performance increase with Mandau. The only difference will come from the dagger, and not an unknown difference from also having a new sub all of a sudden. I like the idea of not sharing the dagger with another slot, but at the same time with 2 Dly176 weapons plus dual wield, suppa, march, haste spell, 12% haste from gear, brutal earring, corazza, and full triple attack merits, I also can't help but want to watch myself bash enemies to death kraken club style. That's part of why I like /NIN so much, I love seeing myself swing so fast. Eventually after I get a good feel for how much of a DoT boost it is I'll try a few more things as /WAR and see which I like better.

Finishing this has made me consider doing a little more work on that parser. I have an idea for a pretty good algorithm to test how often the triple damage procs (I know it's _about_ 5%, but I want an exact number) and I might go from there and see about recording crit rate for 20 seconds after every Mercy Stroke.
