Seriously tho, nothing you can do Eagle, people will upgrade what they want, and gank the money to get it done regardless of it being useless or not. All up to you if you wanna kick it up a notch, and find a way to pull in bills faster; we all know you've been at it for a while.

I've always been under the guise: upgrade what you want, but be prepared to take the flak from people if upgrading something with little to no use (I'm looking at you Claustrum).

So, go ahead have fun upgrading whichever item you want. You may be stupid for what you are doing, but sure aren't wrong for it, and I think that's a point some people are missing.

Eagle, I dunno how you can complain about useless(status) relic hopefuls taking "potential currency" unless you are buying every piece out of batalliazaars everyday. There is no real total shortage of coins, and if you take out the 2-3+ useless relic upgraders at anytime per server, I SEVERELY doubt that coin prices would drop even a bit. (I should note, that I say there is no shortage only because everytime I go to batallia, I find at least 5 bazaars selling coins at the normal price).

The people you SHOULD be angry at are the ones who decide upgrading a relic would be cool, and then realize its way too much money for them after they finish stage1 or 2. They take up a LOT more currency than 2-3 fully upgraded useless relics do, and is infinitely more wasteful and useless.

Actually, RMTing Khalifa single handedly slowed down my upgrading by shouting to buy all the bynes from people and buying them from bazaars for a while. There is now a shortage of bynes on Shiva because of ONE person. I know Marilynmanson was upgrading staff, lolTahn has stage 3 staff, etc. are wasted currency. I'd be done by now if just a few of those things didn't happen, and so would the katana (which I do thing is a bit of a waste but I tell him that lol) in my LS and the Aegis would be much farther along. If one person buying 7000 bynes messes with the market just think of the thousands of currency wasted on what you mentioned, the stage 1-2-3 people that quit, and the relics that are never going to be used. I'm sure you know we have a RDM with Excal and I don't think he even has it equipped most of the time. Not even status to him, eh?

If the case is, that one person is buying ALL of a type of currency, then your argument that "their purchases, causing a delay in YOUR relic completion, is what angers you about it" is totally invalid. This is because ANY relic upgrader, useful or not, could have done the same thing, having the same effect on you. If you aren't angry with them, then it means the delay means nothing to you; its just the existence of the weapon that bugs you. If you ARE angry with them, then you have no right to single out the useless relic-upgraders.

If the useless relic upgraders were not upgrading then I wouldn't notice the effect of one person buying currency, or I would've also finished long ago. I didn't start complaining about this stuff because of Khalifa, he's just an added example of the effect one person can have on the currency market. If one person can effect it then the combination of all the useless relics has a much greater effect.

edit: i think the problem here, is you are comparing them upgrading a useless relic, with upgrading no relic, wherease you should be comparing them upgrading a useless relic, and them upgrading a useful relic. In the second, you have a control for everything except the type of relic, from which point you can accurately assess whether or not your standing against 'useless' relics is justified.

If they upgrade a useful relic then fine. They're making good use out of the currency. My problem is the wasteful nature of useless relic upgraders, which is why I complain about cross-server upgrades, because they're a waste whether it effects me or not. If instead of all the stage 2-3-4's and useless relics on Shiva we had a load of shield/horn/gkat/etc. then I wouldn't mind at all. I mean if I finish tomorrow I'm going to be the 7th(?) Mandau on the server. My only problem with any of the previous upgraders of Mandau is one bought it through RMT, I have no issue with the fact they upgraded and "took my currency" because it's not about that. It's just that the currency could be used for something that actually has positive effects instead of something that has no effect (or just status effects).

Poison is a really bad additional effect to test with. The reason is that it's impossible for it to proc if the poison effect is already active. Sometimes I try to figure out what the poison proc rate is and I end up just getting pissed off, because I never know if my proc rate is just really low, or if the poison is just lasing a really time, thus not giving more chances for the proc.
