/drk would be subpar compared to /war for thf when using a 1 hit ws, /war with zerk and chance for DA would trump /drk unless doing a multi-hit ws (MS is 1 hit per waf's post) for the SE goodness, also, someone had posted getting more out of /war than /drk with Mandau already.

Maybe I should have stated for quick monsterious damage, like a kraken drk. Not for the WS, it already does crazy amounts of damage.

I've gone thf/drk to sky to screw around and souleater is fun with low delay daggers, I don't think my whm's like it though :D I did however tank Zipacna from 100% to 0% hp (his...I didn't die) as thf/drk, spamming stun/bind/sleep, refresh from ethereal when I did get hit. Was fun. So was Souleater DE'ing him mid-fight and losing half my hp. Like I said, I don't think my whm's liked it

I know I know, if I have time to camp Fafnir I have time to level WAR, especially since getting to 37 is nothing. But it all comes down to priorities, and for me spending even a few hours levelling a sub which for all intents and purposes was fairly useless for my playstyle was lower down on the priority list than making money to support this weapon.

i understand that people have different priorities but if it's a SJ you actually take out and use on stuff, i don't know how you can put the "fairly useless" label on it.

fairless useless is my 150 something Archery Skill on my 75SAM/37RNG.

Do you have a relic on the way. I'll go with no since anyone who has completed relic or is working on one would more then likely not say something stupid like this.

Sage Sundi can answer that for me better than anyone.

Remember those that don't have one, say get all your other stuff done first then go after relic. Guess he did it backwards??

I'm doing it somewhat backwards, I don't have my 5/5 HQ heca yet and do have a few other upgrades I could do. But a subjob, especially /war for a melee job (and for thf, an amazing HNM sub) is a bit on the important side. He is a gimp for not having it lvl'd

But ya, kinda surprising WAR is underleveled, since most melee will just level that to 37 along with NIN or w/e else since they share a lot of low level equipment.

Not having /WAR isn't that much of a loss though *IF* you can compensate with enough +skill and +accuracy to use attack food. Use +attack anywhere else or get some Minuets with Blau offhand and /NIN can still put up nice numbers on pretty much anything.

Big thing about /NIN is that it can take Mercy up to 6 hits (Triple on both hands), which is how you get those really big numbers on IT/HNMs, provided your attack is high enough to outweigh the 25% to attack from berserk.

/DRK would be the lowest priority with Mandau, it'll put up big numbers with Mercy but only every 10-15 mins or so with AC. If you did the SATA/Hide/LR/SE thing you could still use SB/DE or Evisc every 5 minutes and still do slightly more damage than with any other dagger option.

Edit: Oh ya, 99% sure Muteki finished Yoichi a good bit before July, maybe March 2005. I remember seeing the KI thread and the damage pics about the same time I put off upgrading Dynamis Bow and comments about Yoichi in the RNG picture thread on KI.

Thought the best place to ask would probably be here.

I've done a lot of searching, both on KI/BG forums and through google/ffxiwikipedia, but can't find any confirmed information on it.

Anyone know for sure what will keep the Animated Tachi interested? As in like, it will actually emote the text that it's interested. It's given us a lot of trouble now, including several times where it warped at <15% HP (and even 1% once). On average it warps like 10-15 seconds after we engage, it's ridiculous. The only time we get it to stay longer than 10-15 seconds is when we interupt his casting (which resulted in a win for Muteki's fragment), which is hard to do as it is.

It's really frustrating, I'm stuck missing just the fragment. D:
