I would tend to agree...if I were too cheap to get errant houpelande.

Also vest = 30 coins. Yuck.

Hat is irreplaceable for what it does. And less coins (don't remember how many).

The hat is no gamebreaker for sure but it's definitely better than the +20mp and lolspellinterrupt+2.

If you get Crimson Scale Mail, the houppelande is kinda redundant unless you're hard up for -enmity, or +hmp. Getting the Warlock's Tabard+1 when you have (can obtain) W. Body pretty much grants you inventory space+1.
I'd rather have that over a few more MP and 2 INT if I had to pick one.

Snoll Tzar & Tenzen: Sure, let's just take all the strategy and tactics out of the fight and make it how fast you can DPS in 60 seconds. Hard gay to say the least.

    Dynamis Lord: Only cause I haven't killshotted him yet. --;

2 pages late, but lol... 1/1 on Aroma Crawler the day they put those satchets in. I went around telling people it was 100% drop.

P.S. Bard killshot on DL with everyone else dead = delicious. But, he's still fucking annoying.

    P.P.S. Kurrea is most annoying.

    Swift shit belt.

Slaughter many a mob for a Codex (which stegs are rumoured to dropping fomor hate)

spend bunch of time getting hate for popping it

then ontop of that, have the NM have a horrid drop rate.

Really SE, if you just want it to be rare so the speed belt retains some camp worthiness, just have the codex drop rate really shit, and keep the hate system, but make swift 100%

I finally got one last night, 1/8 total attempts of my own/group farmed codexes

was gonna ask about this but I didnt wanna post a new thread about it. Any shells tried lolVrtra since the claim patch? We've tried once or twice and the new claim patch seems to make things 500x harder. Do you do it any new way? How many BLMs do you have in the ally?

JoL is probably most annoying fight for me. Swift belt sucks too, but since i'm 1/1 on my codex, i guess it isn't too bad, just helping for at least 20 pops let me imagine how terrible this is if you're unlucky.
Vrtra wtf? I love this fight <.<

I've got four RDM AF pieces upgraded and went Hat > Gloves > Tabard > Tights. I figure I use all four for endgame, no reason not to upgrade if I can. And since I've been doing Limbus since it came out as the only primary RDM 90% of the time, upgrade materials went to me by default. Once I got the Brutal and Loquacious Earrings, it seemed kind of pointless to not upgrade when I could.

Hat was first because it was the only item whose upgrade improved its primary function, and barring the introduction of new gear, a RDM will always nuke in Warlock Chapeau. (I was also hoping the Fast Cast would be improved, as there was no research on it at the point I upgraded).

Gloves second -- upgrading makes a decent soloing piece into a very good soloing piece. +2 DEX and +5 parrying skill.

Tabard is periodically useful. The +5 hMP is replaceable by the Errant, obviously, but the Tabard gives +34 MP over Errant, which is only good when you rest for full or for convert macros. The +2% spell interrupt reduction is pretty minimal, but it never hurts to have that for those Sleep spells you're trying to get off in Dynamis when a mob is beating on you.

Tights? I had the stuff, I use tights for casting certain enhancing & healing spells, and the extra +2 MND can be substituted for E/M Slops if in an inventory pinch (at a cost of -2/-3 MND). If I had a better use for the coins at this point, I probably wouldn't have upgraded.

Boots I haven't done yet, but I have superior pieces in every category. They're a nice all around piece though, and might eventually get upgraded by default. Would be nice for Ballista.

Claim patch hasn't really affected Vrtra at all if you have good mages. The one time I've killed it we rolled with like 11-12 BLM's in the add party, all 3 parties having RDM+Brd for double refresh. The key is, blms, rdms and everyone needs to be stunning, binding, and graving summons as soon as they come out and begin nuking. This way the SMN's are away from the tank, slow'd down, and it elimates the chances of the main ally accidently claiming a SMN. If you get behind in the SMN's Vrtra can become a nightmare, but if you stay on top of things, it becomes pretty routine after an hour.

    edit: typo's

Why waste poison pots when their Venom Shell can do the same thing, but better?

Afterall, it'll just end up overwriting the poison pots anyway.
doesn't it work like serket? avoid the uber poison by having poison pot on
I don't know about the Dynamis Uragnites in particular, but I know a lot of mobs will overwrite a stronger poison over a weaker one. Especially in CoP.
I thought that worked with any debuff, though I can try it next time we do them, whenever that is.

All I know is, during some mission fights and NMs and such I've done in the past that have a strong aoe poison effect, it doesn't work. Though, admittedly, I haven't tested it extensively with ordinary mobs.

You can build hate on formors outside, with 3 people (1 in the field by the leyshey, 1 at each tower in the meadows), you can max hate in one game night. Then go in, pop a set, escape and repeat.

    No.

Imperial and Ephramadian Fomors don't have any connection to the Marquisate Fomors (other than being Fomors, obviously).

I don't know if they have any seperate hate thing of their own though.
