The end orb basically consisted of me running up, whacking it once, getting sent across the room and repeat. Still, I think its a pretty fun fight.Originally Posted by Reaper-X

You think A. SE would put the effort to program it to be truely random. or B. Take the lazy way out and tie it to the game clock.Originally Posted by Stellar
I want to know the answer for this. >_>Originally Posted by Stellar
The guide I always used was "hit OK" on an even numbered time. Which basically means you have to hop on the porter on an odd numbered time, since the dialog box covers up the time. It worked reasonably well for me.
By your theory /random would be predictable, and so would lots because why put the effort into creating a random number generator when they could just use the clock. If they program a random number generator into the game, it's not too much of a shock that they'd used it elsewhere.Originally Posted by Tekki
So when you get pots it's not because your theory is wrong, it's because you didn't click at the right time?Originally Posted by inafume

Snoll Tzar is so annoying, until you learn to love the Salt![]()
I prefer 'manipulatable randomness' to true randomness. IE something that seems random if you don't pay attention but if you learn its secrets you can get it right.Originally Posted by Tekki
Swift Belt (Long time to get hate to pop, shit drop rate, fight itself is OK)
Diabolos (Nightmare + Spider pit of death)
"zerg or lose" NMs:
Dynamis Lord, Dyn-Valkurm Boss, Shen
Cerberus (AoE Paralyze + massive Stoneskin + GoH)
Ok my opinion may be biased, based on the recently missing chunk of exp and all but...
I'm gonna have to go with Proto-Ultima![]()
It was my first fight ever, and when the leader was describing Citidel Buster I made the mistake of saying "lol sounds fun, part of me wants to see what its like to be the target" Yeah, I regretted that later when I was the first person to get hit with it o.O;
Oh, and somebody earlier mentioned 6-4 with a PLD tank, I second that notion. I'm not gonna say how many attempts it took because its embarassing lol, just suffice to say 6-4 was the single most frusterating thing in the entire game for me.
Hell we only won the BC after replacing 3/6 of the people in our team because they couldn't keep upI mean no offense or anything but if you want to win CoP stuff you can't let a weak link hold you back... we did win with the PLD tank eventually, but only because he was dedicated enough to put in the extra time/cash necessary to get it done.
6-4 is if anything, easier with a PLD, just gota build right for it.Oh, and somebody earlier mentioned 6-4 with a PLD tank, I second that notion. having to get a specific build for one fight is annoying in itself.

I'll agree that a lot of CoP battles sucked as Paladin (I did the entire storyline past Promyvions as PLD/WAR) but I was lucky to have a group of people who were experienced playing with Paladins and knew how to utilize my skills and cover for my weaknesses. But I will agree that Ninja is the way to go in a lot of the BCs.
Kirin teleporter go in @ 1:01 2:02 3:03 4:04 etc works every time
What about all the times 3-4 people teleport at the same time and half goes to Kirin and the other people get pots?Originally Posted by Erza
I hate Swift Belts as stated many times.
why?
1. 0/7 on it personally
2. level capped farming for codices
3. level capped area for hate building and fights
4. a moving maze that equals HP if you die in it
5. awful drop rate (we went 1/9 one day and that guy went 1/1 ::brood:: )
6. Fomor codices are *rare* so you cant hold more...ughhh
7. NM's that depend on race
it just all around sucks ass with little satisfaction in beating the NM. Unlike a Kirin, Snoll, CoP 6-4 where you feel a great sense of accomplishment, this one is just bleh.. no drop.. return to GO, do not collect $200 and repeat everything.
But will I do it again? Yes. Because despite SE's decree of "not everyone will have the best items! lolplaymoretilyougetit!" I want it and it will be mine... oh yes.. it will be mine.
most annoying fight i think was pre ToAU is when your HP is in jeuno and your lvl 1 fighting a lvl 1 mob then THWACK! a lvl 5 beastman comes and donkey punches you back to your HP and you gotta go all the way back to the newbie zone on that alt job you want to lvl!!
And, from what I hear, so does 1:02, 1:04, 1:06, 1:08, etc.Originally Posted by Erza

It's flawed logic to think that every time it works is because your theory is correct and every time it doesn't it's because you messed up.Originally Posted by Erza
