I was thinking ebon panel rooms, or any of those rooms where you can run around in the middle, like a square with a plus in the middle; theres a pathing glitch where mobs wont try to run directly at you.

I honestly have no idea how pulling Temperance thru one of the elevators works. I've heard it mentioned before but I've never actually tried it out, would anyone care to explain? <.< Pathing Glitch aside, being able to fight without all the mages constantly getting smacked by Temperances TP moves would be really useful.

Sounds like if you put him on the exact oposite side of the pit...He would try and chase you left..you go right. When he goes right..you got left. And you can maybe keep him there like there?

This is how we depop the pots in Faith's floor and I think it works for Temperance if you want to hold solo.
Also temperance loses his gravity resistance completly once his name turns to yellow.

We popped it in Galka tower last night with less than a holding party and I was able to keep it up by dragging it to elevator and if you step on right between attacks and mash enter fast enough you can go down the elevator while it's attacking you then come back up and repeat until reinforcements arrive; nice alternative to 15 minutes of reraiseing lol.

Mashing enter would have you picking the default option, which is to -not- port.

It's a 2 stage input and unless he happens to change from rings/slashing to poles/piercing or w/e while you attempt to navigate the dialogue menu, you'll be seeing event skipped + arb pin.

Where's Fara to settle this? -.-;;

edit: obviously it's possible to do this if you have a lead on him w grav, but its barely possible to port with a normal Z'dei's attack speed, let alone JoT.

It's possible provided you time it right unless Temp hits faster than normal mobs. I've done elevators with a zdei and updrafts with a shark before.

Ok, I was holding left while doing it, same fucking principle, for some reason though it kept grav resistance between zoning it down the elevator (may have been coincidence, but after the 3rd or 4th grav > zone grav was barely sticking at all and when it did it only lasted a few seconds).

Actually one time we popped him with 8 people, 1 DCed and 1 disappeared mysteriously.

We managed to kill him slowly and using pretty much only DoT's by zoning and rezoning him at the elevator (all that was left was like RDM DRK WHM NIN NIN PLD)

It is indeed 100% possible to zone up with him on you, its not easy but theres a rythym to it.

It's kinda key that you learn this rythym if you wanna hold JoT indefinitely. Although even when you get used to it a few times I found myself spamming COME DOWN AND CURE ME while I was holding temp letting the DRK SA him cuz i couldnt get back up.

But yea like the above poster said, I've entered garden / vortexes / updrafts with sharks on me, sometimes I hojo or jubaku them but most of the time if you time it right its np.

I'm not sure if Gaiters are required but:

A BLM was able to hold Temp forever by making him "pace" back and forth. In order to do this, you need to be on opposite corners of the room (where people normally fight Temp).

You need Gravity to get Temp to the opposite corner from you, but if you pace back and forth between the 2 sides of the pillar at your corner, Temp will keep going back and forth at the other corner. He was able to hold Temp like this for about 7 minutes, when backup arrived.
