People dont care about Assault anymore?

Assaults are good for 3 things:

1) They provide some sort of advancement in ToAU missions and Assault story, but once you're done with those you have to wait for new ones to come out to continue

2) People want to obtain Assault gear, so they get the points that they need then stop once they get what they wanted

3) At one point, farming Assaults was really good money, but eventually lots of people realized this and formed 3 people statics and flocked to the popular Assaults to farm. Because of this, Assaults become less profitable than they once were. (Some money can still be made off of farming though).

So, lots of people don't even bother with Assaults because they don't get much utility for their time out of them.

My problem with Assault is the same problem with 90% of the damn game- you need other people to do it.

I got nearly 20k points each in 3 different zones in a static, it was fun and all but now that we are done I have no one to static with. In my perfect world, Zolodf and I could do at least one fellowship assault in each zone for a decent amount of points. (It doesn't have to be max, but 900+ would be nice.) Maybe even make special NPC points that could be used to buy gear upgrades for them. (Necklaces, capes/mantles, rings, earrings, belts.) I am such a dreamer.

Really though, it is a pain to have to get help for anything of value in this game.

It was great back when you could sell the shit for megabux, now it's just a waste of time.

Edit: Also what Septiroth said up there. Even finding 2 people to help is a pain in the mother fucking ass, let alone more, for the reasons I listed above.

People still rather do tier1-3 for farming (that if people still farm... prices at ragnarok is fucked up you will end up with 50k/1hour averge doin assaults with trios in a set pt now imagine shouting/search not worth it lol)

I hope next update wont be just a "here we go new assaults!" becouse that wont fix anything I want to do god damn assaults (/emo) but no one cares its mmorpg i cant assault solo >.>;

tier 5s are much easier to trio, just much harder to find people at tier 5.

The only people who'd rather do tier1-3 are the one's who haven't ranked up. With the exception of Ilrusi Atoll and possibly Lebros, the best zones to farm with 3 people are LC- or C-level, since they offer the most points, lowest chance of failure, often 0 chance of death, incremental points if you don't fully clear it instead of the 100 AP consolation prize, and take half the time to run.

tier 5s are much easier to trio, just much harder to find people at tier 5.

Im sure someone who reached rank5 have other ways to make gil or other better stuff to do than doing assault again and again for 50k/hour (not worth it realy... if you were gimp and needs that 50k so bad its hard to find another gimp guy <.> prices of assaults items is realy low at ragnarok)

I ptd with a guy whos RANK3 and the only assaults he ever DID was EX-duty (he keep selling 5acc/3str necks for gil no wonder that neck is 500k~ only )

Anyway, the Assaults themselves are either too easy(luck based ones included). Actual mercenary ranks seem to give you nothing important and there is no incentive to do other than one type of Assault for an area. A good place to start would be adding stuff only accessible for people of higher ranks. Oh, and from there, make missions from here on challenging and skillful. Not skillful as in melee-burn copy-cat situations, but as in, you need to use your brain.

Remember when we thought SE did some completely amazing with the first tier Mamool Ja one, but it turned out to be luck based, said by them. Yeah, that was not good.

If you're rank5, you don't trio assaults that take an hour each...most assaults that I do take at most 15 minutes. Via ffxiah, I see an item on Rag AH that sells fast that will make you about 85k for your 15 minutes.

I have *4* crafts at 100, and doing assault is still better/safer/easier money than any other option in the game.

I've been capped Corp. for SOOOO long and I still do full 3 tags every 3 days.

The money is ridiculous and honestly a better source of income than my leathercraft, by miles.

There's really no justification to not doing assault besides A) plain not liking it B) being lazy

Assumed he had it confused with Besieged or something, but with SE's marvelous tendency to patch what is not broken I couldn't rule out them adding XP rewards to Assault.

In a lot(dare I say, most) Assaults you are in an experience party-type situation.. some of them are just moving camps. However, the first part of his statement leaves me in awe and disgust, for both possible reasons that he (1 looks stupid saying that, (2 hasn't done Assault.

I love Assualt myself, i have a static i do them with in the ls i'm in. Some of the gear is pretty nice, Like the Storm shoes for example +2 str lvl 50 (one of the best macro in for ws pieces for low lvls).
