I swear, how people can believe in democracy when people like the OP are representative of the common voter is beyond me.
You have no idea why N.Korea is developing the nukes beyond what they tell you. When a nutjob like Il gets his hands on nukes (and he is a fucking nutcase... what kind of sane person lets the conditions of his people deteriorate to isolated cases of cannibalism) the world should be concerned, which is why I brought it up. Slapping some kind of crock-pot excuse of self-preservation is complete bullshit. N.Korea is putting themselves on the radar with their irrational statements and actions.

As far as belief in democracy and how I represent "the common voter": what in the FUCK does that have to do with topic? Elaborate plzkthnx. I'm voicing the very real and very dangerous situation over in Asia, and you're throwing out some irrelevant crap with that remark.
Perhaps they don't teach you your actual history over there, but the people who founded America cannibalised a lot of the indiginous population.

As for depravity and oppression, Guantanamo Bay? I don't know about your press, but we had some disgusting pictures on our front pages, and I understand no one was charged with torture of prisoners of war.

As for people being ungrateful, I don't think the tanks rolling into your city and soldiers abusing your family and friends, and people dying left, right and center is exactly what they had in mind. Sheer incompetence.

My major "beef" with all this is it is none of America's business what North Korea decide to do. Who made you people boss of the world? The USA is hardly in a position to call other world leaders insane, and to judge the practices of other governments. It's high time some sensible countries banded together and liberated the United States.

Yeah but that's the picture that other nations have about us. 3rd world countries' citizens have no input from the outside world, so their leader tells them whatever the fuck they want just to keep himself in good light.

Lots of countries don't give a damn about democracy and freedom, they hate US because like 40% of people are technically obese and we consume more than our fair share of everything. This is why we're hated (however, it's jealousy, not hatred...that's why they come here on rafts) lol
    exactly lol
and i see very few obese people but i have seen the numbers which are sad really but most of our food come from ourselves. Not our fault we what we grow better then the 3rd world. I am not obese though, i wiegh 130 lbs, and i am like 6ft., that is super skinny <.<

The thing about alot of 3rd world countries is they don't know
America tends to think of itself and globally at the same time, however ourselves will usually come first, but we still think globally.
I won't lie to myself, i would like to see an actual global order....Not some UN bullshit that never gets done.

I have to agree with this, I don't like how involved we are in alot of this shit that doesn't matter...it's made the anti-west sentiment so strong it's ridiculous.

However for the part about "liberating" the US, good fuckin luck...don't forget we have a Texan in the white house lol

I have to disagree with you. Nuclear weapons are definitely not a minor annoyance. (Btw it's North Korea who is virtually threatening the world with nukes.) Getting out of Iraq: yes. Like you said, what's the point of being there? However, the US invaded Iraq over the threat of weapons of mass destruction. Doesn't get any more mass-destructiony (yeah I made that word up) than nuclear weapons.

Also, to clarify I'm not saying I believe invading N.Korea should be on the agenda for the US or any nation at this point. What I am saying is troops need to pull the hell out of Iraq/Afghanistan and be prepared for what might be a REAL threat, and not some hair-brained imagined threat Dubya came up with. Having most of the US resources tied up in these stupid conflicts/wars is retarded when we have an insane dictator trying to bully people with his nukes.

Ok, I see what you're saying now. You basically said "Hi I'm Xaru and I smoke fat bags of crack." No sense in "debating" with you any longer. When you get a grip on reality and what century this is, maybe we'll continue the conversation.

    HERRO!!!

    ............................

What would you do, if you were asked to give up your dreams for freedom?
What would you do, if asked to make the ultimate sacrifice?
Would ya think about all them people who gave up everything they had?
Would ya think about all them war vets, and would ya start to feel bad?
Freedom isn't free, it costs folks like you and me, and if we don't all chip in we'll never pay that bet.
Freedom isn't free, no there's a hefty fuckin' fee, and if you don't throw in your buck o' five, who will?
Oooo, buck o' five, freedom costs a buck o' five.

N.K. then, I honestly dont think we should do a damn thing about it, ok yeah its threat, every other country has nukes too. I cant possibly fathom the idea that they would use a nuke on us or anyone else. The know damn well what would happen if they did.

Every US troop should be brought back to the US and just go home and sleep, act like a this world is normal. This crap is going to pop up all the time, its just silly for anyone to think someone will nuke someone over nothing.

We tested nukes all the damn time (years and years ago) testing bombs is wrong? If they do it in their own country, have at it. All they are doing is preparing for the future alien invasion, not to use agaisnt the worlds people. Duh.

america was not founded till the colonies went to war with england, and the indiginous people were both allies/enemies to both america/england/france

As for depravity and oppression, Guantanamo Bay? I don't know about your press, but we had some disgusting pictures on our front pages, and I understand no one was charged with torture of prisoners of war.
So you are comparing what we did to POW, to what he does to his own people. Nice.

Kin jong we called insane and he is not a world leader. You think we'd give a fuck about Iraq/Korea if we didn't have ppl from those countries who emmigrated here years ago and told us what it is like and stuff.

They are just trying to make a name for themselves, i really don't know for what purpose though. Don't forget the timeline of all this

NK : We're going to test our bombs!
UN : Please don't do that
    NK : Oh we will!
UN : No don't, we'll have to sanction you
NK : We will! And if anyone sanctions us we will treat it as a declaration of war
    UN : Noes
    NK : BOOM
Japan : Ok we're blocking all your boats (btw the single most devastating economic action anyone can take against NK)
NK : We are at war with America over this!

It's just bullshit, especially the bolded part

The Native Americans weren't eaten by the US citizens of that time... that is cannabalism. They did however lose their land and were forced to move and many of them died in the process. Manifest Destiny was what it was called. Basically we took their land by force, the Native Americans fought bravely despite technological disadvantages. Similar things have happened all over the world in the past as far as a nation taking someone elses land as their own. This also was many years ago and the Native Americans still exist but in much smaller numbers.

War is death and destruction. The US put rules on warfare in the first place with the Geneva Convention (thanks to Woodrow Wilson). That is a joke because not every country you might fight even tries to go by those rules. Torturing prisoners might sound wrong, but it is within the nature of war and has been done by almost every country in history during wartime.

North Korea's leader wants to appear insane so he can be both feared and respected internationally. The nukes are a status symbol in a way for his shitty ass country. North Korea is probably very jealous of the other nations in this world and wants to have something to make them meaningful in the world stage.

The UN only works when everyone agree's for it to work. The US directly went against the UN when they invaded Iraq, and they're still on the security council and still have every "right" they had before the war. UN has no power except the collective will which can be completely ignored by some countries.

I'm of the opinion that NK is doing what they're doing for 2 reasons. They're either trying to create a scenerio above where they can justify their actions by alienating themselves, then using propoganda to convince the people that the world has turned on them so they have to go to war. Or, you push what you can do to the brink, then offer to cut a deal. Something along the lines of "You don't think we're capable of making nuclear weapons, well check this out >[BOOM]<. See, and we'll use them!!!...Unless you give us food/water/funding/tv/whatever, then we'll behave."

I really dislike closed-minded ppl like Xaru, who, when they think about America they think about an indian-killing/slavetrading/atomic bomb dropping country. All they see is they bad/wrong stuff about us and they like to show it. Like they pride themselves in that we have done bad stuff therefore we are the great evil.
Well when an American thinks about america, they think about a country where everyone is free, where women are equal to men, where the color of your skin doesn't determine the class you are in, a melting pot of all cultures/races. A country of immigrants. That is America.

Your major beef should be with your lack of education, its astounding.

If you knew anything about what North Korea wants, you'd understand why America has to be involved.

I'd imagine you'd cry to America, the last superpower in the world right now.

1st sentence was bad stuff america did
2nd paragraph is good stuff we do
    How is that close minded?
