That's what keeps chasuble in my inventory, nuking mobs that would otherwise resist, and casting any dark magic.
The problem with Chasuble is that 5 magical accuracy is not enough to be really useful. It sucks that they made it just slightly better than a Glamor Jupon. If it had 10 magical accuracy it would not be a bad piece of gear.
Ya, it's nothing too significant over the JSE for elemental, but it shines more for dark magic. Our skill is so low, that the 5 accuracy scales way more than it does for anything else.
It's fun to consistently land absorb spells on Proto-Ultima or mobs like that in a full dark setup.
You don't need a Chasuble to land Absorb-VIT on proto-Ultima. It does help that I cheat and use a Dark Torque though.

Dark Earring, Dark Torque, Crimson hands, Chasuble, Nashira pants
If you've been landing consistently without chasuble, then you have an awesome luck streak, b/c double light certainly doesn't help 207 skill vs. a lvl 85ish (or higher?) mob.

    Fake gear:

    Cheetah Hands - Def 12 Latent effect: ATK+12 Haste+4% STR+2 DEX+2

Latent's activated by blind and it turns the blind into flash. Sounds up their alley lately.

It lands 2/3-3/4 times, it is definitely over 50% of the time. (Pluto's Staff does help a ton.)

Fuck Yes. All I need now is for FFXI to have its own built-in logger and I can stop using Logmon. [Fat fucking chance though]

    Knowing SE though a "chime" = <call1>

Dangit. got home for lunch and updated POL. But as usual, I had to head back to work before I got the version check message. I might just have to take a 'coffee break' to hit that button when its ready for download

Maybe I just have bad luck with my resist rate then. and Joey, of course it's easy for a DRK to land it, considering you have 69 skill levels over a RDM. I assumed Pluto staff was a given btw.
