15%str, and possible haste/acc losing absolutely nothing on samurai? It doesnt suck ass at all. It's enough to actually put my number above war and mnk at 68. I'm sure they will still win at 75, but I cant complain.



And seriously, it's not bad for drk either. You gain defensive/offensive ability, without having to use berserk paper thin armor. It probably come a little under war sub, but you can actually "tank" in tp burn

Its terrific for SAM, no doubt about it. I'm a SAM75 and couldn't be happier.

It sucks ass though because SE said they wanted to make /SAM a more viable subjob...and from what I can see, Hasso isn't even as effective subbed as main.

I'm curious if TP gain is affected by Hasso the way dual-wield does.

According to the release notes they said it was "Haste" not "Faster Attacks" or "Delay reduction", so going by that, it wouldn't affect TP gain, just make your attacks fater.

I am not even a 75 melee job and I can see the implications of Hasso. You're stupid if you think STR is all that matters. I bet you're one of those melees who wears full hectacomb and busts out a 1k+ ws every 5 minutes and thinks they're hot shit. While the war next to you is non stop attacking with 500 dmg rampages.

I've gotten +4 to +9 str boost so far using this as sub on DRG. Haven't tested attack speed out yet.

looks like it's gimped when subbed, so yeah, it does look like it'll be a worthless sub still

+5% str, accuracy, haste isn't worth it to switch from war/nin to war/sam, period. i should've stated i was speaking from a warrior standpoint, i'm not a DRK/DRG

At least for SAMs, getting a free +5% to melee stats isn't a bad thing. As others have said, probably not going to beat /NIN for WARs, though might be an alternative for DRGs or something. Especially if its gimped as a sub (anyone check that?).

too bad they didn't consider longbows as a 2h weapon with hasso
you'll get the STR bonus if you use vulcans staff obviously, but i doubt the accuracy/speed bonus will apply to your ranged attacks
