Ashu Talif assault things

Items with Assault only effects do work here though. My storm crackows gave me the 12% movement speed boost when I wore them. Managed to kite a large group of fomors around the stairs with them on. I was a brd/whm though so I didn't last long thanks to the redmages casting on me from afar and that I ran so fast I'd just end up running back into the group of mobs I was trying to kite. ><

Am I missing a shortcut or does walking to and from the BC and trading the coins take like 20-30 minutes and SUCK?

nashmau > mire > alzadaal > mire >reef > ashuu talif takes about 5 mins....

then just escape when done

If you want to do a bunch of runs you can just set your HP in Nashmau and then return to AZ through the staging point when you're done. Provided you're doing it with a BLM, that is.

Nashmau > Caedarva Mire > Azladaal Undersea Ruins > Caedarva Mire > Arrapago Reef > The Ashu Talif > Arrapago Reef > Escape > Caedarva Mire > Nashmau.

Takes 10 minutes with Mazurka from the time you get out of the BC and the time you get there again for another fight. Faster and cheaper than warping to Dvucca Staging.

Is this classified as a BC or an Assault? Does the gear w/ Assault: "stat" apply, like Storm Earring Assault: MP 15 Enmity -4 or the Storm Fife Assault: Ballad +1 and similar gear?

It's not an assault.

It IS assault. My storm fife works just fine in there.

nice congrats. tythera. i still need to do a couple more ToA missions before i can do the mission. can you get the ??? knife from any of the three battles or only the first one?

We got the ??? dagger out of the second box from the first mission. From what other people said you only get one box if you don't kill the imp but I don't know for sure (we killed Swiftwing). Got ??? boxes out of the second two missions, not sure if those can be daggers or not.

Matron's seems common when traded in nashmau, we're 2/4, both knives traded in nashmau were matron, both in whitegate ended up being hush/spark daggers.

Naturally I lot 220 on it I want it for jeuno gear only so I don't really care.
