Oh wow. Congratulations.

Seeing more screens of pants drops now... wonder if the drop rate was qued for patch, and just got implimented when they did the emergency patch for a different reason.

If SE really thoguht that anything less then a 10% drop rate would be reasonable, they deffinately need to re-examine their planning.

One of the few truely desirable items added since ToAU release, and make it so you have to spam a BC for a month, just to get to lot on the item....

Nothing conclusive obviously, but I am happy to see that pants are dropping for people either way.

My guess is someone forgot to flag the quest the previous day so they could reflag again that day.. and didn't admit it.

I have a sneaking suspicion of that as well, but we've had people forget to flag in the past and they stood up for it so it would seem odd to not say anything this time.

We tried by dropping random people from the pt gath. Even tried to go in solo, no go either way.

Nope, we all were able to start the sequence at the cutter. You know it shows which one you can do if it's flagged and you hit it then it tells you something to the tune of "all of your pt in the area with the requirments will be transported etc". Then it did the whole "someone in your pt doesnt meet the requirments for this objective" crap. I think it was just a bug for whatever reason. It wont even show up as you being able to do it if you dont have it active to my knowledge.

Kicker was when a couple of us tried to do it solo to see if it would let us in and got the "someoen in your pt doesnt meet the requriments" lol.
We were like wtf I'm not even in a pt!

He was just asking because it seems every time he wants to xp, I'm in the middle of Ashu Talif or Assaults.

Pretty sure purplenv mentioned it earlier about getting hate back on captain before he got back to spawn and still got three chests, just confirming this.

Since we usually do these with three people: rdm, thf, and blm(me), I usually end up kiting captain on blm while thf and rdm takes care of bubbly. At first didn't know about the whole run fast shit and that raped me cause I was accustomed to him running slow but anyways if you have someone with flee trigger the 3rd chest requirement and flee out, about like 5 steps on to main deck, capt and bubbly will both deaggro.

If you're quick you can get bubbly before he runs back in cause he's pretty fast but the captain reverts back to slow mode making him tons easier to kite. We got 3 chests afterwards but two ??? boxes which both turned out to be crap

Any idea how to get 2 x ??? Box vs ??? Box and ??? Gloves?

My static group has gotten 3 Barb. Gloves, and would be more then happy to take their shot at ??? Box now rather then getting more gloves...

If we get more gloves we will likely end up shouting in Nashamu to get them to someone who might actually equip them.

Im guessing it's just random algorithm determining the box and gloves for the 3rd box

My static have gotten like 2 ??? boxes from the 3rd chest.

Neither yields anything notable really, I think the last one was diamond.

yea really no idea how to make it become a box instead of glove. Recap of the fight was just pull & kill imps outside > surprise and flee out > kite capt while killing bubbly inside capt room > kill capt. Think it's just totally random but god how I wish we got ??? gloves instead of box -_-

actually when i used flee to get bubbly out solo, i ran all the way up, when both deaggrod, aznmajiksauce tagged capt, and we woulda had the option of just killing captain and ignoring bubbly, but we went back in and killed bubbly for the chest

What is your setup for a RDM + THF Bubbly kill? THF/NIN solo it while RDM supports? For the Captain, is everyone /NIN and you all just damage and kite?

Could this be done with, say, RDM + BLM + BLM + RNG just from everyone subbing NIN and kiting the Captain around while dealing ranged damage? Only snag is how you would deal with Bubbly.

We're still 0/16 on pants, did 3 runs over the weekend. Another pair of gloves got 3/4 of the static set for those, just me left now.

Got another 2 queued up for tomorrow, hopefully the pants drop rate has indeed been increased - of course there is no real way to tell, could just get a string of lucky rolls.

is basically thf/nin solos while rdm/whm supports and for captain i'm blm/rdm so I just es grav at start and play around with him till they're ready. After bubbly's dead it's usually nuke + kite while melee dmg till pull hate and repeat till i'm out of mp then just thf solo for a bit running back and forth for shadows etc.

The major problem is taking bubbly out duo. He rapes my shadows hardcore. I'm wondering if any nins or thfs that solo tank this use evasion builds or if they dont help. Also, i'm pretty sure the answer is no...but do any debuffs at all land on him? (slow para blind, from redmages even w/ ES they didnt, but do bard or nin versions?)

I can confirm that the NPC taking zero damage on the Tier 2 is the pop condition for the third chest.

We got a ??? Headpiece, which gave us a facking Circlet.

So the only real mystery for ALL the Ashu Talif is how to pop the 3rd chest on tier 1, but absolutely nobody does that one.

We did the 3/2-3 rin tonight, and only notable drop was a Hydra Scale from a ??? Box.

We managed to do a speed run of tier 3 today, just wish I had a screenshot lol.

Got chain #3 on the captain: imp > imp (1) > bubbly (2) > captain (3)

Was the fastest we'd ever done it, so was kind of amusing to us. No pants though. We did get a nice pair of Cuffs appraised, however!

Looking for an estimate here based on experience with fight #1. For those who have beaten #1 multiple times, does the Star Sapphire drop often? I've searched this thread and found reports of it dropping from fight #1, any help is appreciated, I have yet to see it drop myself.
