The major problem is taking bubbly out duo. He rapes my shadows hardcore. I'm wondering if any nins or thfs that solo tank this use evasion builds or if they dont help. Also, i'm pretty sure the answer is no...but do any debuffs at all land on him? (slow para blind, from redmages even w/ ES they didnt, but do bard or nin versions?)

Elegy doesn't land, and neither do NIN debuffs. To my knowledge, it's immune to all debuffs.

As far as evasion tanking the monkey solo, I dunno, It's somewhat worthwhile on Ninja with 297 evasion skill. Just eyeballing it, I'd say it has 75% accuracy with blend evasion + haste gears (i'll try and get some parsed results if I can). However, Bubbly attacks really fast as I'm sure you know, so i'd say it's somewhat effective at best.

However, we tryed it with a bard going double mambos as a test run and it's a walk in the park to evasion tank. Melody earrings making skill around 304 and mambos, i'd say it's about 35% accuracy, definitely easy and manageable. So I guess it boils down to if THF evasion traits can compare to mambos then i'd say yes an evasion build on THF would be fine for Bubbly. But as ninja, it's meh to evasion tank it, especially without debuffs or help from either thf traits or mambos.

Second pair, got one the other day, too.

Got Barbarossa's Moufles the day before that, but only Cuffs and an Optic Fiber since then.

Got Luminium Ore out of a box today. Have gotten a couple Turbo Charges before, as well.

Also got a couple Hydra Scales before that.

I think that sums up about all we've seen from this BC that's worth anything.

/sigh... my group is now well past 0/10... every box is just the same peridot, emerald, etc. etc. bullshit, and the best ??? item we've seen has been a pup Optic Fiber, which was a decent 200k. This BC is hardly worth the trouble, Zerehs fucking never drop...

Looking for an estimate here based on experience with fight #1. For those who have beaten #1 multiple times, does the Star Sapphire drop often? I've searched this thread and found reports of it dropping from fight #1, any help is appreciated, I have yet to see it drop myself.

Anyone did first BC recently? Before the patch, i was always able to hold one and wait for the next run.

Last time, we hold the last fomor, but Gekko popped on us, then we hold an imp and next round followed.

Ouch, that sucks...maybe take an extra person next time so you're kill speed is faster. We tend to win in 15 mins most times with rdm, nin, nin, thf. We don't have any Tribe members tho...
