A little more details would be appreciated, my group was pld/nin sam/nin mnk/nin blm whm rdm and we got overwhelmed on the latter part of the imp/fomor waves. We were trying to use aoes to do crowd control which worked for the most part but the imps kepts getting spells in while shadows were down thanks to all the fomors whacking at people.

At the begginging we were fighting them at the bottom, then one of us(me) died, so we proceeded to go up. From there, we just kept pulling and smacking Gekko as much as we could. In the end though, we ended up winning by killing all of the Fomors/Imps on the boat. Think we only got Gekko to 30% or so.

Edit: As to a specific number of mobs we killed? I don't know...seemed like a shit load tho

So all you did was pull from the top of the ship? I was thinking of doing that but I've seen them group up really bad if the mobs pop too much.

Correct. It wasn't too bad though, since we didn't have surprise pops out of fucking nowhere, we just killed them in waves. AE Weapon Skills helped a lot too.
