yes, Alexander looks like that in ff8 as well, hope to see him in action ;o
Is the BC solo?
Or gotta get a PT together?
I think my group was the second to do the BC on Bahamut, cuz we went in after someone had set the record at 24+ minutes. We were all like![]()
. Then we realized the guy had soloed the thing
. Took us under 5 minutes with 6 people and me using Hundred Fists for the hell of it.
Did the Khimira 13 fight with 5 people- it's notable for THF or /THF this monster can and does have a back-facing attack- the MNK parked himself behind the monster to flip the thing around and it proceeded to start smacking both him and the NIN we had tanking.Originally Posted by Sui
And so far, this entire mission chain could be described as Windurst pwns Art Urghan....I mean...ffs the entire initial CS is basically "Cardian says: "*lOlPuP*" (in hilarious fashion).
Worth doing so far the laugh factor alone. I <3 Shantotto for sheer devious evil.
And for the BC, she simply wins.
Yeah when Shantotto was like "Lets go talk to the Mercenary leader"
I was like Oh fuck, her and Naja in the same room? This will be interesting. XD
And I was not disappointed.
Amen to that. 1) They're funny in a good way (watch King right after he wins the *lOlPuP* smackdown for the one animation you never expected to see a Cardian get...not to mention the fact that King's WS is actually pretty freaking cool for a doll). 2) Actually make you go "Holy shit!" when you realize how the story ties in with some of the ToAU NM's. 3) Actually realize the reward at the end is pretty fair considering the difficulty.Originally Posted by Epical
It's not fuck-me-in-the-ear-with-an-icepick CoP missions, but it's fun to go through as a snack. The meaty stuff is the Assault-style stuff and the changes to SAM for me, so far. Our LS 75 SAM was having joygasms playing with his new toys.
It's worth it just to see what the next excuse is for her to blow something up. Though Gessho....poor, poor Gessho. After all the beatings I got in Giddeus as a newbie, I'm actually feeling guilty about a Yagudo getting nuked. (He's actually interesting to listen too, too.)Originally Posted by Correction
How'd you keep hate off that sort of damage? lolOriginally Posted by Gwynplaine
I'm guessing she doesn't hold back.
CoP missions were great... having to wait like a year to get them in little chunks was very not great. So far ToAU has a cute story, but the missions are blah.Originally Posted by Eaglestrike

I guess there's just a certain TP move it does that lowers its magic defense, or depending on how the fight is going she might buff up. As it was, I went as BLM to the fight, cast the same spells, and was doing 200ish more damage everytime. I was disappointed as I saw the SS of stuff like 2.3k Thunder and got excited I would see high numbers.Originally Posted by Khamsin

Hate bounced around between the Rdm, Blm, and Shantoto after each one would nuke and it would head off in a new direction it hardly ever landed attacks on anyone. Grav was constantly on and bound and stunned when appropriate. The npc got low on health at one point but some cures did the job. I guess your questioning how we kept hate off of the npc since she does such crazy damage, and I'm not actually sure lol. We would pull hate after a T3 nuke or two after she had invested a lot more damage. Maybe she just has an uber -enm gear setup.Originally Posted by Khamsin

what a treat to behold at the end.
What a revelation to see in that painting,
the sight alone almost lead to my fainting!
It really seems that Odin is quite the offender,
to go against a holy force like Alexander!
And of course Shantoto is always a treat,
even handling Naja like the slime beneath her feet.
But dealing with one whose speech is rhythmed like verse,
left me in a mindset that is a rhyming curse.
With a story like this, so lively and grand,
I can't wait 'til December to see what next is planned!
Ohhohohoho!!!
<3 Shantoto!
The correct answer is she is Shantotto, who would willingly attack her.
Actually, the correct answer is she is Shantotto, who is a genius for manipulating others into doing whatever she pleases- including being target practice.Originally Posted by Kael
When we did Shield of Diplomacy, she barely got tapped by AE's, much less actually being attacked. Whatever she's using is the BLM equivalent of a stealth suit...I was more likely to get attention Cure IV'ing three people in a row than she did nuking the thing with AM's.
But it's Shantotto, who is made solely from black magic and purposeful wickedness controlled by a mind that would make the Borgias shudder in their shoes. And an insatiable appetite for....sugar.
(No wonder most BLM's are hooked on pies and sweets. She's the poster child.)
