I still use my Duelist's Tights for the +10 Elemental Magic skill, since the +10 Mag. Acc. is only during besieged (lolBesieged). Does the "spikes" effect only work in besieged, too?

Personally I like my Duelist's Tights as well, they're perhaps the best all-around (non-kiting) soloing pants for RDM. You got your Enhanced Spikes and +5 DEX for melee (<3 Enhanced Ice Spikes <3), and +10 Elemental Magic for Sleep/Nuking style.

Spikes is normal. The RDM thing was basically saying nothing for RDMs lol.

It's restricted to an event where you get 0.3fps anyhow and take stealth damage in the thousands at times. The enhancment is besieged is utterly and completely useless, and unless the defense boost is something insane like 250+pts these gloves are more worthless than my 2k pair of trainer's gloves.

What glove do you recommand using for charm besides the trainer's glove? Its got the highest CHR (equal with AF+1) and -enmity on a hand that is usable for BST. I don't understand....unless there are some hidden effect that makes this glove the crappiest glove ever conceived.

Actually these besieged bonuses are large enough to possibly be worth it. Besieged is a good thing to win for your entire server. The bonuses are friggin huge.

Beseiged sucks, assault lasts 15 minutes a day, and latent effects that can't be reliably triggered blow chunks.

I have to admit SE has been giving a lot of love to Samurai for the past year or so in gear and other updates. Hasso is a pretty strong ability on Sam main. The job has come a long way from when I first started to level it right after the TP nerf, and it was at low point in general opinion towards it.

Yeah I leveled BST to 75 this morning and got these. It was pretty sweet. You shoulda been there.

What I meant was actually more general, I somewhat messed up with the context. Anyways, look at the other new besieged gear.

On the legs Enm-10 Macc+10 or MP+120 Acc+6 or Counter+5.
On feet Atk+15 or CHR+5 song recast-4
For the fingers Vit+5 Phys Damage Taken-5% or MDB+3 MPp+5
On the waist spell interruption -8% with conserve mp+5
Head you have mpp+2 and cure potency+5%
A haste+3% resist stun backpiece

I think its fair to say that this shit is POWERFUL and likely the call beast bonus should be noticeable.

If I felt I was having an effect on proceedings, I'd do it, it would be fun (if it weren't so laggy).

As it stands, I avoid the hell out of it. I do try and organise people to go and get it back when it's gone though.
