Lamia 27 and Moshdahn

Killed em in my exp pt last night wondering what the hell they were. No drops, no exp, no difficult whatsoever. Rangers got some nice epeen screenshots on the Moshwhatever Qutrub thingamagic. Could prolly do it with 3 people without too much difficult if someone can kite one of the mobs.

This is a quest started in Nashmau at the north exit from a Mithra. You head out to that new ??? in Mire near the meripo spot and have to go back and forth a couple times before the mobs will actually pop.

The mobs are easy for a prepared party or even less but some fairly funny things can happen given one of the mobs is a Lamia.

This morning I popped it solo to find out what it was, got owned in the face with Aeroga III. Came back with a couple friends planning to take it out pretty quickly and an extremely funny thing happened.

One of the meripo pt rdms nearby was friends with one of my pt killing these things. He tossed a haste on him as his group was passing by. When the lamia belly danced the hate from that haste toss was all that was left and me and the other ninja, along with the lamia ran over and murdered the whole meripo pt, who was otherwise occupied with their mobs.

Two quests(well others) out of several hundred. If anyone thought some no requirement quest was going to be Divine Might, well you need yourself checked out.

Oh, and nobody ever uses Utsusemi: Ichi, Mage's Balled, any teleport spell, AF, whatever...

For that matter, it's a nice chunk towards a turban or basically enough coin to keep your Mog Locker rented for the next 150 weeks or so.

Heck, it's the most expensive Mog Locker upgrade in one shot. That gobbiebag quest sucks too, right?

the point BRP is trying to make is that dont do quests because there is a reward at the end...

do quests for the sake of doing quests and have fun doing it - if you get something pretty out of it at the end.. thats a bonus

And those are not "some"? If it is not required, people won't do it most of the time. Most people, in this day and age, simply buy all the spells you listed because they either buy a lot of gil or are leveling that job that requires these as a second/third/fourth/ect job. Most of the people who actually do the quest intend to sell for gil.

Mind you, probably 1/10 of all quests in the game if you don't count "required" quests.

I guess i didn't channel my thoughs accurately, what i meant to say was that the fight is a little tough for 3 gold coins, atleast i find myself doing most of the quests on my own.
