We all know Japan is just a myth anyways.

If bind lands that easily, this fight can be ridiculously easy for any self respecting solo'ing RDM. He allowed Fenrir to get too close for too long on many instances.
He's never too close once he 2h'd. What would you fear when you can just recast Utsu for 6 shadows.
Cool vid and yeah it seems easy but don't forget a unlucky 2h can pretty much kill you, and a bad nuking timing + a poor mp pool wont do the job.
This guy got 950+ mp's on /NIN, and he wasnt even wearing any Zenith Piece at start. That's pretty high.
Edit: Might have seen Z. Mitts, didnt bother watching again and editing before some asshole correct me.
just went in on my first try
i have 338 enfeebling.
HQ every staff
Bind only stuck once during the fight.
Second try.
Same results, (plenty mind gear) Bind stuck 4 times total.
I eventually killed him 16min 22 seconds, 30 min time limit. Difficult solo. be prepared to be resisted, it seems to me his was complete luck, or my lack there of.
I still used same strat, nuke/bind/gravity/etc. Bad luck on my part, his dispel got off once at beginning and took me quite a while to rebuild buffs again as running around kiting.
(*ninja edit*) As well as one more observation, he never revealed his gear. From the outside i never saw anything that looked like HQ in terms of equipment. I have duelist chap/enfeebling merits (2 away from cap) and mass's of enfeebling gear. Went on earthsday same as him, and waxing crescent 38% (forget waxing or waning) so moon phase was almost nuetral. I honestly don't see how (other than luck) his binds could stick flawlessly every time.
When i with superior gear (as far as enfeebling is concerned) could not stick but perhaps 2-3 binds the entire fight.
[quote=Ksandra]My issues is things like distance plugins makes people lazy. It helps make it not really a challenge when the programs are doing things for you. And therefore isn't impressive, at least to me.Originally Posted by Falaras
My mention of tparty was only to point out that he uses more than just one plugin, which suggests to me he might be using other things not readily seen on the screen.
Of course, it's all opinion, the OP wanted to know what rdms thought of the vid. My opinion is it's not impressive considering he had outside programs helping him.[/quote:217b2]
Imo it isn't exactly helping. Helping would be like boosting his enfeebling magic, or casting spells for him. Knowing how far a mob is from you. Takes seconds to do, if that. Just need decent depht<sp?> perception and a working knowledge of the game. Just my opinion though.
Bind is INT, but you knew that, right?Originally Posted by Nikopiko
as far as other enfeebles go, is why i put that there.
I have 80+40 INT....that isnt a problem... lol. i find it needless to include something im already gifted in
*edit* anyways, ill try again tomorrow, probably bad luck, had a friend on carbuncle try it, and he came up with about the same results as i, except he landed it roughly 8 times. (little more, but than again he can use hits master caster bracelets since hes from sandy. lol and i cannot being from windurst in my area) hopefully i get better results, maybe just bad luck is what most told me
I can only assume you had really crappy luck, because when I did this I didn't get a single bind resist with 340 skill/aquilo's.
You're a RDM and you're still dismayed that enfeebling is pretty fucking random to begin with, especially on higher endgame mobs. You should have learned that by now. =/Originally Posted by Nikopiko
And as far as Ksandra...wow, do you play on PS2 or something? As far as Im concerned, things like TP, mob HP% are all things that should have been implemented into the game a LONG time ago. Just because SE came into the game with a horrible interface, does not mean its cheating if players build upon that interface and make it better and more intuitive. Hell all the info windower takes is already technically known by the player's PC anyway, so I dont see how you can call that a cheat.
Ninja Edit: Sorry...tired.
I don't see Janice posting in this thread >_>
