I've always though that Wyrms just showing up and getting ganked was a bit stupid. A "Wyrm Hate" idea would be best, Fafhogg swoops down from the sky and picks on whoever he damn well chooses (resetting the victims and the entire alliances Wyrm Hate in the process).

For reference that's Welt's 3rd character on Alexander. The first two managed to get banned. From what everyone can tell he's actually trying to keep it (relatively) clean.

I was under the impression he's having the lesser people in Claimed-LS use the bots so this character isn't subject to getting banned, too.

Wonder what would have happened to the alliance if you answered no, or didn't answer. There are now instances of people being jailed for being in alliances with people that have gotten caught botting/fleehacking.

Let's hope SE adopts a system similiar to the picture I made and gave to Bertcus or make more situations to get abj. The latter came right out of the mouth of a JP developer, so seems to be more likely than anything else.

Anyway, if your goal in FFXI is to fight monsters for gear and with that gear fight harder monsters or to get great item rewards from everything... or just don't give a damn about Vana'diel itself to begin with, just quit already. There is a game out there for you and it's probably WoW. Got friends? Get their AIM, or stay logged on their Vert/TS server. I rather FFXI fall to only a hundred above everyone else, which would be 3rd/4th place, instead of 2nd/3rd on the MMORPG charts, if it gets rid of all the bitching.

You want to make a point? Quit. Then come back if SE makes the changes you want. It'll help out the people who are currently happy with the game in the end because those changes wouldn't be bad. Until then, before you bitch about SE and how FFXI is shit, add "Hey I'm helplessly addicted and therefore will never quit, but let's pretend for a moment I'd actually quit within the next half-year, here would be why..." to all the little "next update is going to be my last update-I swear" comments. It got old with Flux a long time ago, and the shortness of missions was revealed the last update and people should just become used to them, yet more complaining like there is something to be surprised about. Take it or leave it.

I forgot what the other two were banned for, but one of them was because he used the IME to put japanese characters into his seacom/bazaar. AFAIK none of reasons were for actually claiming mobs.

Anyone that doesn't get the hint and does things that can be detected server side (speed = distance / time, duping, IME) should get banned, IMHO. Claim botting is something that SE needs to address by opening up other methods of obtaining these items ("Where's the abjurations, ks99?"), and not by introducing "similiar" items that only work during besieged/lame latents/if you have all the armor on.

The character Welt was (supposedly) banned for MPKing people at Fafnir. He blamed Talonx for getting him banned. Who really thinks that 1 GM call from someone in a rival HNMLS is enough to get you banned?

IDK specifics about how he got Xenosis's character banned. The Xenosis character was actually on a 'suspect accounts' watchlist (because Welt posted that he was now using that character after being banned on Welt). GMs have maintained for a long time and they have a much lower threshold for being banned than other accounts. I know that b/c I was actually contacted by a GM (unprompted) if I had seen evidence that the Xenosis character was hacking.

Again, I think he's been trying to keep Amadeo clean, but I havn't been competing against him, so I don't really know.

Seriously though, they should just make the claim delay for NMs a random number between 25 seconds and 90 seconds after the mob pops. Also it won't aggro until claim delay is over.

Is there even many mule bots anymore? I mean, I remember years ago before the delay patch that JPs had them crazy mule bots and all HNMs popped claimed.. But now most people that claim over and over again starts fighting as they claim..

I really doubt this will svolve the botting problems, glad they finally do something at all though. lol

Keep trying, I'm easily the most GM called person in all of FFXI (I would bet anything on it) and never been in jail on this account. I only got banned because of a JP text bazaar comment about Bleach.

The first time I was banned, was because of MPK. When I got Xeno, it already had been suspended once, and the JP text box that came with it got it banned. The hell if I care, I made more money off that account that any other.
