Wiremode is helpful in certain situations. Nyzul Isle comes to mind.

I actually had no real reason to in this case, but it sometimes helps you see through terrain obstacles if you're trying to claim an NM. Helped a lot with Serket.

I actually hate playing in wire frame mode except in nyzul.

bind or macro //fillmode and you can turn it on and off at will.

Its good for navigating Nyzul, see through stuff for NM pops, salvage, any 'built up' zone where you need to dodge aggro.
