Its been awhile since my mind thought about such things. But if he accidentally claims a Darter, notices his mistake and drops alliance. And dies SOLO, would the Darters lose hate, since technically no other player preformed an action on him OR the Darters?

IIRC we've had an RDM do this before who accidentally cast Slow2 on a darter instead of Fafnir. He disbanded and died with the darters ignoring the rest of the alliance.

Unless this was a long time ago, or he db'd before the cast went off, I highly doubt it. Once you aggro them they have hate on everyone in alliance.

Now, is this something exclusive to only flies in DA? I'm really ignorant to all this, Ive never had to worry about it since i always would /assist or lock target prior to I casting on Faf/Nid.

only a handfull of NMs have alliance hate. all aern mobs have alliance hate, so if you ever want to MPK the shit out of your alliance, dia an aern on the other side of the zone, zone out, and see how far it gets before de-aggroing. ^^ other examples are BCNM mobs, where once they're engaged, they do not stop fighting until every member in the BC is dead, even if they took no action, as well as limbus mobs (can't count the number of times some numbnuts has run off, gotten aggro from a billion things, tried to die quietly and brought down a train on everyone else.) off the top of my head, though, i can't think of any others. darters are unusual because BC mobs get alliance hate as a trait of being a bc mob and aern get it as a familial thing. darters just kinda have it for no apparent reason. SE just wanted to make fafhogg MORE irritating i guess.

Misfits did the CFH also. Trying to melee burn Faf. Didn't work so well. Smn actually pulled hate from over curing. Whm and this smn died multiple times. The Whm had to die 6+ times. But hey they got spirit. They were back today camping. Same basic alliance as yesterday, Minus the Whm who died 6 times.

As for Darters. Their hate is totally random. We've had a blm (Ncloud) Burst II a Darter randomly, the Darter and his Pals destroy him then leave the rest of the alliance alone. It really just depends on luck. Sometimes they'll link hate other times they won't. I like when they link hate when a bot screws up and MPK's half his alliance between windows. God I love the Aery on Odin somedays.

Yeah I just noticed that. I knew the original guy leveled RNG and had WAR at 52 before he sold it. New guy leveled BRD and is 45% retarded.
