I was always under the assumption that Nidhogg Scales also worked in the Crimson synth that requires Dragon Scales. (looked it up, Dragon Scales is used in Dragon Mail)

There has to be a use for it though. The AH wouldn't have a history of them selling for > 1m forever then.

It's probably best it stays that way. Theres enough people at fafhogg w/o some ultra amazing new body armor made from the scales.

If you look at ffxiah, half of the servers has most of the price history as people selling the scales to themselves, either for an incredibly large amount to show off how much gil they have, or an incredibly low amount to show off that they kill Nidhogg. The other half of the servers where they sell between 500k and 1M, seems to be mostly bonecrafting mules--probably people who bought into the rumor that it was a guaranteed HQ or whatever.

Regarding lamian claw key, the old beastmen kings thread had a screenshot of someone getting it from a Lamia Idolator in the NE corner of the first map of Reef. However, a friend in my LS killed those today, and they only dropped the bone key. Have they always dropped both and he just got unlucky? Or did they switch around the drops in there, anyone know?

I agree. Unless there an NPC somewhere that trades it in for something I doubt it does anything alone. Whenever organs/sins/etc or omega/ultima parts came out a NPC was made for all of them at the same time. But nobody found anything like that yet for these.

Each person to enter a remnant will require the appropriate beastman lord drop along with hydra scales and 500 ancient beast coins.

Nobody has found Star Sapphire yet. It could possibly desynth into a Star Sapphire.

one of the star sapphires popped up on my server. mamool had AC when servers came up. so it could be possible from a quick king kill > desynth

edit:
strike that, one corselet has been made, and another sapphire on AH. so multiple here. if kings are only up when that beastman race has AC then probably not from the desynth.

Star sapphire was reported as an Ashu Talif item (along with the sash mat), might also be a desynth from these but who knows.
