Well, it's entirely possible that the AV script was meant to be more complex (and less random about what gets locked and when), so they may have "fixed" it and people need to figure out what locks abilities all over again, OR more likely it's just broken and entirely unlockable.Originally Posted by Zaerus

I always thought for something omg-worthy as AV, his whole "because a giant pussy after you do something gimmicky" deal was lame and almost glitchy. I'm still a strong believer of that theory I was always pitching around, that outside NMs were the key. Apperently it was proven wrong or something, then again, it was only the Ix'es that were tested, doesn't matter I guess. But, something about AV's text makes me wonder and the fact that somewhere in that mess of programming there is a swich to disable abilities is quite interesting.
Could it be that SE intends on constantly switching the method of killing him, making him something truly unfarmble?
Has any one group(or server) killed AV the same way twice? Maybe AV has all sorts of ways to kill it, but can't be killed the same way twice... well more of a joke, maybe he is Doomsday or something ;o.
One last theory could be that the nonsense about weaking AV using JoL(though it sounded more like how to weaken JoL) at the meeting wasn't true before this update, but now is.

What is this suppose to mean? SE does stuff like AV a lot? I can't recall anything in the game as glitchy as AV. If you are complaining about how stupid Sea is or how bad SE is with endgame progression then, that would be "lol good old SE", but glitches? Changing older monsters? The number of glitches you mentioned compared to another game simply looks tiny. Hardly something you can base their attitude on. Dumb enough you mentioned AV when that is what we are talking about... while I give you some credit on the first two, they are not quite the same as whats going on with AV. Both things you mentioned about kings were more about anti-holding, which is nice, but didn't really effect the mob itself(you can't really factor in a linkshell not being ready at claim into how hard it is). Cerberus is in the whole "ToAU, SE isn't acting like their old selves age". As to the elemental obi thing someone mentioned, we had a good number of BLMs, yes, 13 or so to be exact, but BLM is not all of their main jobs, and most of our members have a multiple number of jobs and cannot bog down with too much r/e gear (I'm talking like, 7-10 75 jobs they use regularly). Most of our NA members, yes, we know have Rairin/Hyorin, but a lot of our JP members leveled BLM specifically to have it for these such types of events and do not equip it beyond basic standard non-gimpness.
And sorry if this reply is repeating other posts ahead of me now, I started it ages ago and got distracted helping someone unlock gun... and I can now proudly say Auronku found a reason to wear lolsash on COR.![]()
