To be somewhat more specific.. if you like mind games, it rocks, I dont wanna say anything else. But like the commercials say, youll want to see it again right away.

in NYC a movie theater is normally $10++ (Those are the nice on in the city). But you can get a crappy theater for 5 bucks too lol

I just saw it today, it's really a brilliant film... and very original. The movie itself is a magic trick, and if you think you figured out the ending you are probably not even close. I've been looking over message boards on IMDB to get some more ideas yet it has only made things more complicated. The movie is a total mindfuck, and probably the best film noir to come out in a long time.

EDIT: but yeah, I can totally see why like 50% of moviegoers would hate this movie.

I'll wait for it to show up on a certain site with Pirate in it's name.

(Unsure of forum's policy on mentioning sites that contain torrents i've gotten in trouble for it on other sites.)

    Read the book

Edit: I plan to watch the movie soon after my midterms, it seems like it would be a pwn film

from what I've read, the Book is like a completely different story and setting (timewise). I plan on picking it up though, the whole victorian magician rivalry is just too cool of a concept ;p

Spoiler I guess, it has been out a while now.

Sorry for the semi recent necro but I finally saw it tonight. First movie in a while that uhhh caught me? I'll say. I always have the annoying habit of guessing endings halfway into the movie then not enjoying it (For ex: Secret Window, I guessed literally 25 minutes into the movie) and I was SURE I was right about him multiplying then killing the other, but then when that wasn't the full ending I was like OH SHIT

Great movie. Christian Bale continues to climb my favorite actor list. He just might break top 5 soon enough!

    MAJOR SPOILERS
IF YOU READ MY COMMENTS I WILL RUIN THE MOVIE FOR YOU

Right when after chris's kid came up to him and asked him to go to take her to the circus I got to thinking. Then When he went to his ::END MOVIE SPOILER:: brother at the carosel I pulled a "oh shit" outloud and knew excatly how it was going to end and I knew that was his brother.

EVEN that said the movie was awesome. Even knowing what was going to happen I loved watching it all play out. I really feel sorry for both of the guys lol. Christian's character really wasn't 100% at fault for Hugh's wife's death. And I really felt sorry for Hugh's character for going through hell in that movie, especially after drowning himself.

My only disapointment about figuring out was the journals. I can see how both would be a cool mindfuck lol

Ya Its hard for me to enjoy any movie that tries to pull a twist at all. My record was The Sentinal. As soon as the "bad secret service" guy showed his face on camera and spoke a word I knew it was him

Id be the most annoying meddling kid in the series.

    Requires you to actually think?

I hate when people dismiss movies because it takes more than a zombie like state of mind to understand the plot. EXPLOSIONS LOUD NOISES LOL THIS ROOLZ.
