FFXII Collector's Edition

I've been waiting for FF12 since the first announcement of its release, which was years ago. I'm finding it hard to believe that it's actually coming out next week. I have a feeling grades and social life are going to be taking a back seat during Nov. until I completely finish it.

SOOOOOOO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't even begin to explain how excited I am for it. I already know I'm going to absolutely love Penelo. OMG I can't wait.

I just started working a seasonal at EB games, and apparently, last Monday(My First day) was the last day to reserve the regular edition in store. Apparently I guess the region was running out of the regular version.
Isn't the collector's edition supposed to be much harder to come by? Than again 10$ for a shiny box? GTFO

I don't think all that is worth an extra 10$...BUT. I think paying for the Lmtd. Edition Strategy guide is worth it, since it comes with the art book.

Dunno what the deal is, or if this problem is isolated to my disctrict but we've apparently already sold out of the regular edition. We still have collector's edition's available for preorder.

Same here Tekki. I pre-ordered the other day at EB and they've been sold out of the regular edition for about 2 weeks now, had to reserve the collector's edition.

Kind of strange though, I only dropped $5 for the reservation, because apparently the guide is optional, and I didn't want it.

That's what I thought, but when I called the guy told me it was $5 for normal and $10 for collector's, so when I heard only collector's was left, I was kind of annoyed, until he said it was only $10 for the guide + game.

To me ,the metal case is worth forkin over the $10. Dunno if you guys have seen it yet or not, but the design is just like the PS2 Resident Evil 4 cases if you remember those. Hard, surfaced metal, not so shiny. The design also looks kick ass with the Big XII and the visage of a judge in the back. The extra content is a coaster for me but since I rarely buy games anyways I can afford to fork over the extra $ for a cool case for such a kick ass game.

Btw anyone have a link to a good quality video of the opening sequence? I heard its pretty awesome

I'm confused by peoples responses on here. But when the guy called me up and told me I could upgrade my pre-order to the collectors edition and I asked what it included he did not mention a strat guide being included? Are you guys being lied to or was I misinformed? If it's 10$ for the shiny case and the strat guide then I'm greatly disspointed because that could have saved me quite a bit of dinero. At least a quesadilla from Bueno

I think the strat guide is extra, but maybe you can only buy the limited edition strat guide if you have the game preordered too?

Little bumpage since we're down to like 12 hours till people get to the store and pick it up, unless they make us wait till like 10pm or something stupid.

We've been waiting 3 long years guys - finally here. I really hope the battle system out weighs the homoerotic lead characters.

I cant wait to pick it up - but they gave us so so much with this game, why couldnt they just give us the visuals of changing armor on our characters? ><

Oh well, no matter. Exciting times.
