I consider XII and PSU my reasons to not be so upset if I ever get banned from FFXI. I don't personally bot or POS, but shit happens.

Atleast 4 people have told me this is offline FFXI, and in some ways I profoundly agree.
I think they need more ways of making money though! But I'm not complaining, I think the game is amazing and I'm loving every second (that I'm not dying)!
Quite true, but i must proudly say that 12 is the best FF ive ever played. Stunning. Just plain Amazing. And jesus at the opening movie..Originally Posted by Lbelle
lol tell me about it...Things can get really hectic with this new fully active battle system they've got going on. (Along with running up to mobs because you don't have Libra just to "test the waters"Originally Posted by Lbelle

Yea I agree, they opted out of many of the "re-occurring" themes that FF is known (like the Espers they used this time around ) for and it ends up adding to the "fresh, new" feeling. And yea, my jaw was on the floor for the whole opening movie.Originally Posted by Neosutra
Where's my Lock On >.< Minor frustration I'll get over, but just starting to play I notice I'm tapping R3 a lot.
ok I'm a bit confused.
so best buy has the art book seperate from the strat guide? and for FREE?Originally Posted by Almaa
Set up a 'farming' gambit for your grind sessions. I usually do this for the party leader:Originally Posted by Lbelle

Self - Haste/Protect/Shell
Enemy at 100% HP - steal
Enemy in front of you - attack
This will steal from about 80-90% of the mobs you run into without you needing to do it manually. Set your other two members to cure the stealer and attack the leader's target and the farming is somewhat automated. I'd do this for long stretches of the game between towns (and there's a lot of them) and by the time you reach the next town you have shitloads of stuff to dump to vendors, and maybe a few rare steals of good items like x-potions and new weapons.
L2 = Lock on current target. You do have to hold it down, though, so not exactly like FFXI. :DOriginally Posted by Aodh
Anyone check out the special edition DVD features yet? Are they cool/worth watching?
There's a history of Final Fantasy, was an interesting watch just to see all the games/jobs and how the different systems ran for combat. The rest is general 'bonus feature' misc crap where if you're really interested then it's nice.Originally Posted by Po
Anyone know what Wind/Fire/etc stones are? Like crystals or something?
Btw post what you play in, Active or Wait.
Active here. Gotta get a full FFXI feel here. To complete my video game addiction!
I play on active, more of a challenge.
Thank god for this game I can finally get my FF fix since I got banned :D I've only played for a few hours so far but it's absolutely amazing so far, I like how the game plays and it's overall a fresh feel no too disimilar from XI in some regards.
any more comments about the CE strat guide art book? I think Devek said he was dissappointed, but anyone else care to chime in? I don't want to blow 30 bucks on something that's crappy.![]()
It's spooky how a single player FFXI comes out after a shit ton of account bans. Coincidence?
The art book is just it, art. There's the usual character renders, espers, etc, but for me it's all worth seeing a nice 8.5"x11" render of the main Judge. He's so damn cool looking.
Nidhogg looked like leviathan @ ff12, lol.
I was really disappointed with the art book. The FF9 artbook had like all these really great pictures of conceptual artwork of the areas, plus their final copies, and it was just awesome.
The FF12 one is just the picture we've already seen (like Vaan in the city, and Baltheir and Fran on the bike) and the normal espers and weapons.
Def. not 30$.
It's only $10, again its also for the Hard cover, and the specific covers of the guide book itself with one of the characters, but I hear what you're saying.
I'm sure most people just get it for Collector's sense.
The guide isn't hard cover, it just comes in a box
