If I recall correctly he doesn't have that little head down there *all* the time... just during or right before he does a certain move. Fallen One... or that Grand Train- something like that. ;P

Wind Waker's Ganon fight was my favorite, such an awesome looking environment to fight in and the moves are smooth, especially the killing blow.

The Spider Guardian from Metroid Prime 2 : Echoes was pretty fun. Not really hard, but an enjoyable and original fight.

And the last fight in the Chrysler Building with who-those-who-beat-the-game-know-it-is was really cool along with the music in it. Can't find a screenshot for this one.

I was probably the only person here that enjoyed and loved watching/playing P.N.03. The boss, AAF-06 Löwenzhan.

I had beaten all the bosses before, towards the end though, you had to fight all the bosses again (token). I fought them all and triumphed. Then I got to Löwenzhan, I beat him and went huzzah... then it turned into a phoenix thing and I was like "OMG" and shat myself. Needless to say it was not that hard, probably not that shocking either. It was still an omgomgomgomg moment for me.

Most epic and favorite goes to wind waker. Talk about making you feel motherfucking epic.

This motherfucker DEFINED cheap ass bosses that made you wanna rip someone's head off at the end of the video game. Didn't help that double dragon was the most addictive video game of it's time (untill street fighter 2 came out).

Man I could go on all day about awesome boss fights though, but I'm old fashioned. I liked the boss fight in River City Ransom. And the boiling hot boss fights in REZ. God those were fun as hell.

My worst boss fight was the end of Legend of Dragoon. That boss had like 10 freaking forms, each more cheap than the last, and getting to him was horrible with the random battles every two steps. The last save point was a good distance away too. I'd rather stab myself in the crotch than do that again.

Good times, I enjoyed a lot of fights already mentioned, but I'll add these:

Ace Combat games usually have fucking awesome end fights, favourites being AC5 and AC0 (music alone makes it epic).

Chrono Cross: some fights were awesome, main one I remember was fighting Darius I think, on the Isle of the Damned?

FFX: Penence, super secret boss, fucking huge HP and is able to kill you in 1 attack if you don't plan out properly

Disgaea/2: Zetta fight, Prinny Baal etc

Star Ocean 2: Last fight

Star Ocean 3: fighting Lenneth and Freya

Last fight in KH2

Threads of Fate, Final Fight <3

DMC 1: Nightmare 3 in DMD mode

The PS2 Ace Combats are loaded with epics, that's a fact. I thought Penance was FFX-2 at the bottom of that horrible 110 floor dungeon. Iirc Nemesis was the big bad boss of the Arena in FFX, the one who grants the Mark of Conquest key item for his defeat. It takes 100 hits of 99,999 dmg to kill him, and you need all your turns planned out and perfectly executed or you lose.

I'm talking about FFX: International version that the EUs got. You had to kill all the Dark Aeons then Penance would show up and you fight him on your ship.

Hardest boss ever was the last boss in Double Dragon 1 on NES. How the fuck can you kill a guy with a gun and a 2 frame front thrust kick.

Edit: HEHE someone already put the arcade version but the NES version was worse.

Another impossible boss was Marion on Double Dragon 3, she was a crazy bitch.

Secret of Mana boss fight made me sad. :( I cried when I was a little girl cause I thought you had to kill him. xD Been so long I can't even remember if he actually died or not. >_>;

Pretty sure he died, I was consumed by guilt!

Culex wasn't hard for me but I had the Lazy Shell too... I remember everyone except Bowser died on Smithy's second form though, I think I had to spam Rock Candy or something to kill him.

I think my absolute favorite boss was the big robot from Mischief Maker whose name I can't remember for the life of me, even though if you got his pattern down he couldn't touch you. Actually, I guess I'll bump him down to second for Olga Flow from PSO, some cheap moves but his first form ranks up there with Windwaker for scenery.

I agree, 20 more years of videogame experience and I still haven't seen cheapness like that, Double Dragon was t h e s h i t of it's time though...brilliant game.
