Worst macros ever.

So I got a party in the Shitadel on RNG, and we were rocking the place. The bard seemed pretty cool, and had standard macros.

I can't figure out if that's the best or worst macro set I've ever seen. Either way, I laughed.

I never understood why a lot of bards feel like they need to tell me what song they're casting and what the song does. Yeah, it's nice for the person who has no clue about BRD for the first or second time, but ...
Seeing those lines spammed in the course of a 2h+ party makes me /wrist =.=

Most annoying thing I can recall is a Rng whose pull macro was "(Ranged Attack) <t> <call>", and instead of making a seperate ra macro for combat, or just doing it from the menu, he just spammed that for his ras every fight. Nothing like "Ranged Attack <t> <call>" spammed 1000 times in the course of an exp party. Think that was one of the few times I actually blisted someone in a pt because of their macros. What's even worse, was this was in the late 60s, lv67 or 68.

Another was a pld that had a <call> in their voke macro, as well as a <call5> or something at the 15s mark for voke. (Once again, in the level 60 range).

Stuff like this is what made me learn to play ffxi without any sound ._.

I never saw the point of macroing things that you're expected of your job. Like right above, rangers shooting, white mages curing.

Voking is exception IMO. As WS for skillchaining, but, come on!

I really wish I had partied with this person, but one of my friends partied with someont that had RESTING macros, they probably had <call>s in them too.

Now that's just creepy. I didn't screenshot it, but someone I partied with a few months back had the /exact/ same macros if my memory serves, but this was on Phoenix. And your sig says you're on Unicorn, so that's just odd.

Still not as bad as some macros people first had when NA release first came out though. Monks with two lines of party chat for each boost was common, and you'd be a FOOL if you didn't use boost as soon as it was up. I remember partying with a 63WHM/6BLM in Cape Terrigan, no AF, and each of his cure spells had 3-4 lines of party chat in the macros. *shudders*

Back in '05 when I used to play a ninja's Blade:Ku macro was

(nin) BLAAAAAAAAA
(nin) DEEEEEEEEEEE
(nin) KUUUUUUUUU

Every damn time he did it and once i told him it was fucking annoying he deleted it >_> theen it became some sort of 'saying' for my ls and still is sorta for the ones that play wow now.

I have mine in echo too from long ago, but I've never been asked to see them lol.

Back before Seigan/Hasso I used to have a macro for Third Eye that went something like this: P-R-Y-I-N-G--M-Y--T-H-I-R-D--E-Y-E--O-P-E-N.

But this was like in 2005 or so and I only used it to lvl my SAM > 37 as a sub for my DRG that I thought was gonna be my next job to 75. Still lvl 3/4 DRG though. Now DRG is only used to deathwarp on. I have found a perfect way to get ding lvl 4 on a mob then to deathwarp on next one to actually get the enjoyment of seeing my DRG become even more worthless.

Sorry if DRGs take offense by this.
