Same here, I find myself thinking too much in the shower. Some people do it on the toilet, I do it in the shower. And I realize that the last sentence can be interpreted in a wrong way.

Yeah, I actually wrote my best selling novel from the shower LoL

I get really really cold when I sleep (regardless of temperature or amount of blankets) and a shower is the only way to thaw me out.

I used to shower the night before when my hair was short and I would just go to bed with a quick towel-dry, but now that my hair is longer and requires more attention, I shower in the mornings (it also REALLY helps with waking the hell up). Because of this, things like shaving go along with it too, which is why it's a morning-routine. Shower time depends completely on how much time I have before I have to be somewhere (school/work). I'd rather sit under a hot shower head for 30mins than to go and eat a complete breakfast (granola bars + muffin = super win).

The only time I shower before I go to bed is if I had a hockey game that night. Showering at the arena is one of the grossest and unsatisfying things ever. When I shower, I want a damn good one, not a "omfgi'mnakedinasmallroomwithabunchofsweatynakedgu ysgetmeoutplz" shower.

I know exactly how you feel. My hair used to 3/4 of an inch long and all you needed to do was shower the night before. On top of that, you only needed a little dab of shampoo and you'd be set.

But now my hair is down to the back of my neck, and if I don't shower in the morning I have a Medusa thing going on. It's really hard to tame long hair.

I have really short hair, not really military, but I never let it get long, but still occasionally I go have a shower and forget the time, and before I know it half an hour has passed.

I love night showers more than morning showers, ones you take just before going to bed, because of my short hair I feel my head pressing against my damp hair pressing against the pillow, hard to describe but it's nice.

Anywhere from 5mins - 30 mins. If i gotta go, its about 5 mins in and out. If I am not pressed for time, I will just stand there under the water....very relaxing.

But I can afford that luxury. When we built our home, my wife insisted on the jacuzzi/whirlpool tub. It fell within the budget, so we did it. When doing this, the builder puts in (2) 75 gallon water heaters...1 to heat, and 1 to hold, because a jacuzzi tub can empty a water tank faster than shit. They gave us a closing date.....and ran out of 75 gallon water heaters. Had they waited to get some in, it would have been 10 days past our closing date, and at $1000/per day discount for being late, they would have eaten $10,000. So as not to miss...they installed at no charge (2) 150 gallon water heaters!!! I have more hot water than I know what to do with.

Other bonuses:

When the builder is under the gun...you win! Also helps when your father is an architect, and the county architect for where you are building lol. Because of this, my house is the only house in our neighborhood that is hurricane ready (he found an old over looked building code and made M/I adher to it). I stayed over at my tree huggin german friend's house once...

Damn shower had a chain you had to hold down to get it to work.. I asked my friend wtf was up with that.. he said water was too precious / expensive and i was to

1. get wet with as little water as possible
2. soap myself up w/o the water running
3. rinse w/ the least amount of water possible.

I told him to F off, and tied the chain to one of the handles in the shower.. needless to say they weren't happy....
