wow this is hilarious, i JUST read about this on some asia game forum and everybody there was cheering sony on for putting down a major shady company, and i come over here and everyone has the exact opposite reaction to the same news XD

This is a few days old now I think, but I just heard about it and no one posted this here yet! Apparently there's a phishing scam involving lik-sang now.

Yes, it appears to me that lik-sang, or one of its partners has sold its customer database and direct attacks are being sent out. The email claims you can receive an extra $9.99 refund simply by verifying your acct info. This is a scam and it takes you to ljk-sang.com, if you do not have a direct link, it will redirect you to lik-sang's actual site.

I REALLY hope no one has fallen for this yet, I would have posted sooner, but haven't been able to check my mail until now.

I received an E-mail from "Lik-Sang" (E-mail sender was [email:62ecb][email protected][/email:62ecb])

Here's the rundown:

Lik-sang is gone, we're refunding any credits that you may have, you're entitled to $9.99. Please let us know if your Paypal account is still valid by clicking "here" and providing info for us to process your refund...

The link it clicks to is ljk-sang.com...again, that's LJK-SANG.COM...and it brings up a fake Paypal page for you to ENTER YOUR PAYPAL PASSWORD!!

This is a major scam targeted towards us gamers, I almost thought it was legit except for the simple fact that....wait for it...I've NEVER ordered from Lik-Sang before...ever! I'm on their mailing list though for updates on a few things...that's how I was connected to it.

Here's the entire text of the E-mail if you'd like to read it:

As of today, Lik-Sang.com will not be in the position to accept any new orders and will cancel and refund all existing orders that have already been placed. Furthermore, Lik-Sang is working closely with banks and PayPal to refund any store credits held by the company, and the customer support department is taking care of any open transactions such as pending RMAs or repairs and shipping related matters. This is VERY SERIOUS, and if *I* almost thought it was legit, imagine a gullible money-starved young one who HAS ordered from Lik-Sang in the past getting this! I'm just afraid I might be too late for some, but it needs to be called out quickly, and CAG is the major target market for something like this...
