imo the "rage" system seems to be rather iffy. We've seen a raged aspid kill the entire ally, then immediately be claimed and rage mode was off. It took it a little less than 10 minutes to kill off that whole ally. I've never seen a raged mob go more than 20 minutes max, from people trying to kill it, others claiming and tagging it etc etc.

It used to be that once a king went into rage mode everyone that was trying to spam provoke to claim the mob would stop, and back away slowly. They'ld rather let the raged NM kill off the LS that's fighting it and leave the rage mode before claiming, since claiming a 'raged' king was a way to get your own LS killed off (doesn't kill all linkshells).

Yeah was wondering same thing shit was wierd cause KB never went passive or lost hate just plain reset. Also Jhun that nid I voked after he went passive for about 3 seconds and didnt have aggro on anyone and didnt reset.

Is it possible that maybe rage didn't reset because Bio was still in effect? Maybe, in order for rage to end, all status effects inflicted during the fight where he entered rage mode have to have worn off. That might explain why sometimes a mob's rage dies right after going unclaimed and being claimed by another group, but sometimes it stays in rage mode for a longer period of time. We started to log off & on about five min before super mode to reset our hate. The five ppl (me pld, smn, blm, 2boxed whm, rdm) who claimed and held it after RMT wiped like one minute into the fight lost hate while our nin who came later kited it with a blm & i think a rdm. A few ppl of the ls who tried to steal it (their nin voked w/o shadows up and got two-shotted, while our nin was kiting) still had hate though and got killed whenever KB got angry-angry.

Early on after they implemented the rage mode patch....
A pretty uber JP LS, claiemd KB with 6 or 7...at like 1 hour mark it was at 40%?...short after it started hitting extremely hard...and it progressively got stronger....hit for 1000 instead of 800..bolts for 400...
They kept damaging it with ES IV spell which did full damage..and dots...their PLD was great at using the natural terrain in behemoths dom to keep from getting hit...also they had melee get TP and spirits it, it did full damage..
At around 15%? it got ugly for them a bolt meteor raped em...they had like 3 people left up but were not wiped....it went yellow and some fucktard claimed it with dia...and warped....didnt call for help...when the claim he had with dia reset rage was gone....the PLD ended up dying...and they had 2 other ppl left alive, but they were mages without movement up....the rest of them home pointed..it went yellow again finall and my LS claimed and killed..
I have to be honest it was really pretty amazing what they did, too bad we ended up killing it lol..I hate that LS they are anti-NA, but gotta respect their skills

Sorry, but a 900 damage wing through stoneskin isn't -nothing- for a good linkshell.
KB is easier to see zerk due to the sheer number of people/RMT that try to kill it. But most wipe and someone picks up the piece. Now Faffnir, its a rare zerg b/c mostly just the server elitists hang in DA. But when it does Ive seen most of those zerged Faffnirs killed by the original claimers or even post claimers who take it zerged. Actually the very first Faffnir zerged I saw was killed +10min after the full zerg mode. ES sleep, nuke, ES sleep nuke etc...
Ill say it again, zerg patch doesnt do anything for a good LS. Just tells you to hurry the fuck up.
