I was using nearest visible foe, now Im using foe: any and it seems to not take target off of vaan, before it was taking target off of vaan and the fucker was charging into enemys

Sonomaa, use Foearty leader's target, they'll target whatever your leader is targeting....the downside is they change targets if the leader does.
Anyone else notice how similar the weapon attack animations are to the ones in FFXI?
I am using that, its just that vaan keeps changing targets on me, then my pt changes targets because I did, maybe Im not explaining it right, but vaan isnt getting on a target and STAYING on that target, I need something like Foe HP less than or equal to 80% = attack
is there a gambit like that?
well fuck, I wasnt aware of a boss fight, ran into it and lost all of tonights grinding
and a killer bow I found too fuckkkk ; ;
/comfort
I did that last night lol, ran into a hard fight and lost like 2 nifty items![]()
ooooooooooooh. Does Vaan have Foe:closest (or Foe:closest visible) or Foe:any equipped? If so, take it off and just make it Foearty leader's target (yes, I get that Vaan is your leader, but it'll quit the constant mob changing).
that helps but it still requires me to manually target a mob, was hoping to auto target then pay attention to HPsOriginally Posted by Toralyn
chain 39 at my new mines campgroundm everyone back to level 11, 2 levels away from where I was before when I started at 10:30 pm, elapsed time to get most exp back, 20 minutes
Take off(turn off) gambit from your party leader.Originally Posted by Sonomaa
Wait for the far-away sands. It's like the Mire, or Thickets (before everyone saw the huge chain# screenshots).
where is the list of who is better at certain weapons, enhanced crit rate and such, I cant find that post
I want to know if it even matters. I'm using Basch, Ashe and Belthier at the moment, with Sword, GKT and Gun respectively, and each is dishing out a ton of damage. Basch constant double attacks for me, Ashe I switch between bow and GKT (mob dependant), and Belthier's new gun is hitting for 400+.Originally Posted by Sonomaa
Also have Vaan using dagger, Fran with H2H (despite being level 9, lol), and Penelo using Gun too.....so.....does it matter? I wouldn't imagine so, at least not yet.
Chains have 4 levels, the higher the chain, the better the chance of good items dropping is.
A question of my own. I finished KRT already, but I'm back to XP grind and I want my Demonsbane sword. I beat the optional wall, and now I'm stuck on where to go for the sword.
Not finished the tomb yet but i beat the optional wall and got the secret passage thing. All that was down there was a chest with 192 gil in it ><. Wheres the sword?
sword is a random drop in the chest iirc.Originally Posted by Dion

I have my characters all using different types of weapons and they all do great damage with whatever I put them with, so I'm not sure if it really matters at this point.
See, I beat the optional wall and got the secret passage thing, with the stairs that pop up, but I never found a chest anywhere down there, and I was looking too.Originally Posted by Lbelle
Try saving your game and then loading it. You can also try zoning out of the tomb and then zoning back in. If the chest isn't there then you should reload the game.Originally Posted by Toralyn
Played about 7 hours tonight... just killed Judge Ghin or whatever. The game is fuckin awwweeesooommmeeee. HOWEVER, there's one thing that's irking me... the license board. Every time I choose an ability for someone I keep thinking I'm making the wrong choice or whatever... here's basically where I'm planning to take my characters:
Vaan - Don't plan on using him all that much... he's got Lv4 sword, Lv2 shield, cure, and that's about it
Penelo - Going to be my spur-of-the-moment BLM or WHM. Decking all her licenses out in magic shit, and depending if I have Ashe or not in certain battles she'll either be nuking or healing (obviously adjusting the gambits accordingly). Lv1 staves, advancing on her magic skills.
Basche - My tank! He's got Lv6/7 sword/shield (bloodsword too, don't know what that does tho), Lv6 heavy armor. Once I finish up his equipment licenses, I'll work on curative magic.
Balalalafor - RNG with leather (light/HP+++++++++) gear. Plan on swapping him out with Fran depending on the situation. He'll be like my Vincent (guns/xbow), per se.
Fran - RNG with heavy gear (STR+++++++, super DD). Plan on swapping her out with Ballalalalalalalalallilly depending on the situation. She's got maxed out bows... probably not going to venture over into guns or crossbows since I have to spend a whole lot of points on daggers and whatnot to get there.
Ashe - My main WHM or RDM. Lv6 White magic, starting to develop her Green magic. Lv1 or 2 staves.
At this point, my main 3 will be Basche, Ashe, and either Penelo or Fran for the most part. Obviously some bosses are immune to magic or something, so I'll use a melee char instead. I'm not sure if I'll encounter any new players in the future that will make me alter this (probably will), but we'll see. Gogo cookie cutter tank-dd-healer parties! Woo!
Soo, like I was saying, I'm probably doing this all wrong. =\ Oh well, I just want to beat the story/game. =D
It adds Sap to the enemy, which is a pretty fast DoT.bloodsword too, don't know what that does tho
I swear the white magic casting animations are the exact same animations as Hume Ninjitsu. Not only does SE recycle models in FFXI, they recycle animations across games! There's that legendary Japanese efficiency.Originally Posted by Toralyn
1) WoW sap or drain-hp sap? 2) Is it a passive proc? I tried looking for an actual Bloodsword item to equip, but alas, there wasn't one.Originally Posted by Anyway
Haha yep, I saw that too. If you watch the opening intro again (lolhavefun), all the people riding ceremonial/war chocobos ride them *exactly* like Elvaans do in XI.Originally Posted by Elesirdur
CUTE ALERT!!!
If you go into one of the shops in Ranbanastre (it's one of these: magic, weapons, defense, gambits, techniks) there is a moogle in Monk AF just standing next to the counter. It's soooooooooooo adorable.
