Sonomaa: There are 30 NMs which are one time pops. The remainder can repop.

LBelle: You can sell all loot (well, save Teleport Stones) without fear. Basically selling them IS the synth system. All loot sold to ANY store is recorded by the game. Whenever you meet the requirements, a Bazaar item will appear. Some are little kits, as I've no doubt you've got already, some are normal items/equip at lower price, and some are Bazaar only rare items.

I personally consider the "Bazaar Only" items to be the true "synths" of FFXII.

So, selling everything you own at the magic shop today in Rabanastre then tomorrow selling new loot in Giza Plains all goes into one overall "pool" towards generating those bazaars. No need to worry about where you sold things.

Also, high chains are amazing for drops. I was chaining some wolves (these seem to be the bees of FFXI...) and at 10ish+ I would get 1 quality hide almost every kill with the occasional 2, once I got 30+ I started getting 2 often and sometimes 3 of them at a time, and more teleport stones = <3

But things like the serpent skin are needed to get the barheim key. So be carfull on what you do sell.
To my knowlage theres no way to get those back

Yep. And I killed like 15 of those lvl 20 wolfmen and they didn't drop any katanas.

you only need 3 or 4 hits on the combo to kill one, and yah the drop rate is pretty low, i think i killed like 40 something and that one dropped two (because of chain bonus)

and the NMs drop nice stuff, true, but non-NMs also drop good stuff too, like those wolfmen aren't NMs, and there are other monsters like where you first see chocobos (after passing through rain season giza plains i think?) the birdmans in the area can drop a higher tier katana, and that non-aggressive dinosaur just outside town to the east can drop golden helmet or something, can't remember exactly

What kind of NMs are these? Like Firemane and Mimic Queen - "Bosses" which are part of the main storyline? Or are you talking about "Rare Game" (as they're called in the Bestiary)?

I've been out chaining hyena's just to see how high a chain i can get, i've been getting abilities from high chains, i got shell once and just got protect. Anyone else get other bonus' from high chain numbers?

at 54 right now on hyena's.

Edit: items cap at 99, although they'll still drop. I stopped just after 100, didnt get any special bonus and hyena's don't exactly have a good loot pool. 99 wolf pelts and 99 fire stones and just about lvl 7 and i haven't even gotten the sunstone yet, heh.

I'm level 22ish and at Miriam's Shrine...and there are 3 dragon ass-raping things that like to kill me...

Should I just level level level, and then level some more to try to kill these fuckers, or am I doing something wrong? Inferno barely scratched 'em.

The wolves that dropped the 1k+ to NPC blood was good but wondering if there is better.

Where are these? (I'm at the airship where you rescue Ashe for the first time) the best money maker I've found so far were the bones in the Mines, went back up there after Lamont left with a group of 3 and got raped rather horribly

1.yes you can repop NMs, you just have to exit to an area that isn't directly connected by a zoneline with the area the NM is in.

2. the "One-time" NMs are Rare Game Trophy Monsters, you don't need to worry about those till later in the game.

3. Keep the skin from the Nidhogg mob hunt for barheim key quest

4. keep at least 1 of each loot item you ever get except teleport stones and gysahl greens (stock up on these)

5. around page 12+ read my guide on one of the best swords you can get at an early part of the game ;o it really does make a difference

6. guns ignore defense, that's the upside to them

7. there is one quickening license grid spot that is particularly hard to get cos before it is a 150LP armour spot and before that is a 100LP spot and before that is a few more expensive spots

about your guide for that sword. I've been to that little village, and the ferry isn't running. When in the game are you referring to? I've already killed the flowered cactus and done as much of it as i can.
