I think one of the most enjoyable things about this game is... smacking a wolf with your weapon and watching it twirl in the air away from you or just how mobs have an over-the-top way of getting killed
makes me smile everytime~

hm how do you get back to the dry giza plains? i need to finish these hunts
I'm having troubles with hate in the party. No matter what I do, Penelo *always* ends up tanking, even if her gambits are turned off. It's to the point where I have to use Ashe now because no one (while she is alive) is taking single target damage except Penelo. Fights just end up turning into a cure-bomb fest until everyone is out of MP.
I checked her equipment to see if she had a +enmity accessory or something on, but she's pretty barebones... a dagger and leather hat/body armor... thats it. Whats up?
Hate is kinda shitty until you get the spell Decoy so just try to deal with it as best you canOriginally Posted by Epical
Mobs seem to go after your most vulnerable character. They'll go after Balthier or Fran, characters who have about 200 HP less than the ones I'm building as "tanks," despite the fact that their shitty ranged weapons are less than half as effective as Vaan's daggers.
Initial aggro and healing seemed like the biggest hate retrievers in this game to me until you get Decoy.
And about the serpent skin, selling it is alright. I sold it and was still able to do a few errands for the guys wife to finish the quest.
Unless your still on the storyline of crossing the rainy Giza plains, all you need to do is zone in and out of the area completely. Not within zones of Giza.Originally Posted by Dion
Theres also a weather guy if I remember near the Giza entrance from Rabanastre(sp?).
Man, the Elder Wyrm fight is fucking hard. ;; It would be fine if it wasn't for that damn Sporefall move... really really fucks me up. =(
Everyone I've talked to has agreed that that fight is fucking retarded. I definitely killed it with like 1 person alive with critical health, and was sooooooo excited. It's really hard haha.Originally Posted by Epical
Question:
White Mousse and Ring Wyrm Mob Hunts doable for a level 23 party? How hard are they? Says White Mousse is level 15, but alot of HP, and hes rank 5, so yeah.
Also I just got the Belias Esper, so I figure having him will help a little >.>
Thx in advance ;o
white mousse, without deathbringers you need to be 40+ to survive the additional aggro in the area and the constant magic spam from the mousse otherwise a my PT of lvl 25s did it with ease with deathbringers, wyrm hunt can be doable for lvl23 party but it will take a long time. espers are kinda useless in this game =/Originally Posted by Bkbahamut
Damnit, i want the reward from White mousse now! ._. Any way i can pull Mousse away to safe spot away from aggro and make it happen?
not really, to make it pop you have to go to the center of the area where 2 lvl 38+ malboros, a lizard and possibly an elemental will aggro youOriginally Posted by Bkbahamut
lol ok thx bud, damn ruined my hopes of getting +75 Attack Bow compared to the +35 one i can buy right now ._. lol
+90atk On Hit: KO, is much better anyway ;p
Ok so just tried Ring Wyrm, man that was like a one hour fight in total, bout 45 mins in i got him to like 30%....him being 9 levels higher then me, then he did a move called Restore!!! orz orz orz, filled him back to like 80%..........then he kinda just went nuts, Breath and Breath. Slow and Blind him, and it makes him not nearly as hard, but the adds are just annoying, and Breath can easily one shot anyone. ._. Guess ill wait like 5 levels and go after him again.
Thx for the advice Helpoemer
The crazy moving wall in the King's tomb... is there anyway to defeat it? It's kicking my ass everytime I try with status effects.
Id say either u gotta be like level 30ish, or have Tier 2 Mist attacks.
I tried like 10 times, before i gave up, getting him to 30% once....sucks
Don't bother debuffing just get your hardest hitting people and go crazy and whenever he's low on HP use a quickening comboOriginally Posted by Anamanagucci
or use a quickening to begin, and just fucking whack at it. Turn off healing gambits and just hit it. Use potions instead of cure, because it's faster, and try to make use of the stopping lights.
The fight was a BITCH for me too, I didn't think I'd ever be able to beat it. Just keep truckingQuickenings REALLY help on it though.
Why is everyone having trouble? First off you don't even need to fight the first wall, just run. Fight the second wall and keep lighting those torch things to stop him. All the while beat the shit out of him. Once I figured out that you could light those things, I beat it first try. Be careful though, 1 of them speeds him up instead of stopping him, so if you get that one, quickly light another one.Originally Posted by Anamanagucci
