I got it. Am like.. 50 exp til level 8. I have like.. 1500 Meseta after buying the "Pike" polearm and high-grade 800 Meseta Double Sabers. Also bought Photon Arts for the Polearm (Dus Daggas), and already had Rising Strike (Saber). What weapon is that you're using, Dein? ;o

The saber in that pic is a Brand from GRM with ice element added to it (making the blade blue instead of green).

I finally got my PC version online. It was a nightmare trying to figure it out and I guess I wasn't alone. Lots of PC players are having major problems connecting. Finally, I had to completely halt all my McAfee processes including my active anti-virus and my firewall to get it to connect. I'm not too happy about that at all.

Only had about 5 minutes before the maintenence tonight, but I made a Beast Hunter. I'm not sure I'll stick with that though, we'll see.

edit: After maintenence I'm back to Error. 51. I'm about ready to trash this pos.

There was maint last night? It didnt happen at the scheduled time (7PMEST), when did it happen and for how long?

It was still 4 hours, but it started about 3 hours late.

Anyways, I think I fixed the problem for good now. It only took completely wiping McAfee off my computer.

This was probably the worst launch I've ever seen because Sega tech support is completely useless and they won't even admit problems on the main page... but they make vague mentions of it in the troubleshooting section and if you go through the forums there's fixes for just about every possible problem (and now they actually translated them, I had to work with random Japanese characters yesterday.) I think the full list of things I had to do was:

- Try pretty much every solution here with no luck
- Start digging through Windows updates that I haven't touched since 2003 due to having to reformat my last PC and reinstall Windows on it through DOS. Good times. (You don't need SP2 to run it by the way.)
- Read someone mentioning spyware, wonder to myself wtf spyware has to do with anything, clean off some stray files anyway and finally get PSU running
- Discover that I can't install new drivers without installing more Windows junk
- Install Windows Installer 3.0
- Install Microsoft .NET framework 2.0
- Install new drivers for my graphics card so I didn't end up with creepy half-displayed player models
- Configure a gamepad because moving with WASD outside of fps makes me cry

Something like 7 hours of setup with 6 of them just trying to get it to work. ; ; My beast is a lowly level 7 or so but I'm trying to rush to 20 for nanoblast.

Double Sabers are love.

Got up before work, got Lv20.

Dam near soloed the dragon in first mission in beast nano mode thing XD

I haven't found any problem yet... only thing that soorta bugs me is people skip as they move... the game itself.. graphics are smooth.

Only things I soorta didn't like is... where are the 6000, 8300 cost swords ;;

I use one thats 2000 and it does almost as much damage as a 8300 spear/greatsword... well maybe 30-40 less >.>

I have a little bit of skipping too and sometimes monsters jump across the screen, not bad enough to make it unplayable but freaks me out sometimes when I think I'm safe and suddenly there's a monster sitting on top of me.

Voice 6 for female characters is the best ever, it randomly screams "NYAAA" while attacking and laughs in a few different attacks. >_>

A friend told me he wouldn't play if he couldn't play Paladin, so I made his Hume Paladin as best I could in PSU. Now a couple of us have the idea to make a PSU FF XI static... Casts get a SAM helmet, and Dragoon should be easy to make.

I think if you play with the dedication of leveling a FFXI job... you'll level extremely fast.

I prefer going at my own pace :D
