Chaotic Earring Latent known yet?

My Dark Knight hit Lv69 today so I decided to pick up a chaotic earring to see if I could figure out the latent. I equipped the earring and didn't get the attack+ which eliminates the DRK main theory. Next I started using Job abilities. Started with Souleater and got no latent. Then I tried Last Resort and got no latent. Last I tried was Arcane Circle and bam latent active. So the earring has been solved. It only triggers if Arcane Circle is active. Latent also works if a PT member uses Arcane Circle.

All in all, this item pretty much blows. It can only be worn for 30-60 sec every 10 min.

longshot here, but perhaps its triggered by getting arcana killer from an outside source...could you see if you get the attack+7 by eating a jack o lantern or equipping an undead earring ?

Also, can't you get a passive Arcana Killer trait by combining certain Blue Mage abilities? Maybe that'll trigger it, too?

Just tried a Jack-o'-lantern and it didn't trigger the latent. I don't know anyone with an Undead Earring so I won't be able to test that.

Uh.. if simply having the Arcana Killer trait triggered it, then DRK main or sub would activate it.

And if you mean getting the trait through means other than having DRK main or sub, then that'd mean DRK is the only job that can't use this earring.

Have you tried any other circle effects?

I don't have Haten earring and I don't plan on getting one. Blowing 32k on Chaotic earring was enough for me.
