I was trying to say that I have some Dyna experience with multiple LS and playstyles, rather than just running my mouth without knowledge of Dynamis.Originally Posted by Daahan

I wholeheartedly agree.
I'm playing a placebo effect card on Treasure hunter. Having a thief in every party probably help, but probably by something like 15%, which isnt that much.

For the last time(not), Thieves DON'T MAKE DROPS 100%!!! They just increase chances.

As in, you can bring a bunch of thieves and get a stinking roll of 0 AF's (which we've only had once in over a year of dynamis, but we also got shadow ring that run), or you can bring a bunch of thieves and get 15-20 AF in cities. It's all chance.
Clearing as many mobs as you can is the #1 thing you can do. For example, let's look at Beaucedine Glacier, which is the zone that most LS's complain about, even more than Xarca.
Why is the AF drop rate so shitty LS's out there? Let's do a breakdown
Walk in > Run kill the entrance mobs > run kill the yag mobs > run kill quadav mobs > run kill orc mobs > then either fight angra or backtrack.
My LS :
Run kill entrance mobs > Kill yag mobs > Go up to the goblins and clear those mobs including the Goblin Golem + His pops > Go back to yag > Kill yags, Yagudo boss + his pops > Quads > Quadav boss + his pops > Orc > Orc boss + his pops > then farm orc lake opposite NM lake.
Normally by doing that, it's common for us to see 8 AF in Beaucedine per run, we've had that a few times now, we just have not broken 10 in any ice zone.
Now the amount of mobs we kill compared to alot of LS's is huge, other shells skip big bunches of mobs, but, we also have a big roster. But even on small days when we have 27, we still managed to squeeze 15 AF2 out of sandy, but the reason was we went up ninja alley and killed alot of mobs which people normally skip.
Basically :
-Thieves help, but they are not going to make anything 100% You can still get unlucky, you're just tilting the scales. It's not a placebo, anyone who thinks so is being silly.
-Kill as many NQ mobs as you can, especially in Xarca on the days we walk out with 9~ AF2, we skip DL, fight the 15 NM asap, and start with NQ farming.
If you think back to when NA first broke into dynamis, we were still testing the water and would pretty much only kill what had to be killed to get (or find) the time extensions and get the win. We were probably skipping a ton of mobs along the way.
I think the 20 runs I was involved when we were the only NA Dynamis shell on the server, we probably only saw 10+ AF in a city once. Most of the time... it was 2-5.
A year later, after strategies had been honed, when we do cities, we clear everything, then kill boss and kill some more and see a lot more AF than our newbie days.
I can't see any better way to increase AF drops than simply killing more mobs. TH might help a bit, I wouldn't doubt that. But, TH4 killing less mobs isn't going to help much. You need to rack up the kills to see AF drop.
Depending on what you are doing you can also impact your drops.
For instance, killing DL in Xarcabard is going to eat up a lot of time, killing Animated Weapons can also cost some time, although not as much, so you are already limitting the amount of mobs you are going after. Going after Attestations in Glacier, or for the clear, also will invest a lot of time into non AF2 related goals.
Really just depends on what you are after, how many people you bring, and how many mobs you are going after in as efficient a manner as possible.
If you can refine your strategy in Glacier so that you never need to backtrack then you can get in A LOT more farming, but, you will run the risk of potentially not reaching a TE if you don't time it properly, so you really shouldn't do that unless you're confident you can make it in your given t ime.
Basically :

It's not a "placebo" because it do something, but it's still a placebo for people who believes it does miracle. You wont get a 50% AF increase.
No, it's not a placebo to them either, they are deluded and need to understand how TH works.
Everyone knows TH doesnt work, I just got +4 for looks.Originally Posted by Lordwafik

We killed about 40-50 more mobs(we had more blms) than usual but we got less 1 byne bills than we usually get. There were a bunch of kills where nothing dropped at all but when we have a thf in every party it seems like bills drop like crazy.
