I wish they used that battle system in another FF, like a FFV remake or something...
Pretty much how I feel. The Battle system was suprisingly good. I refused to play it for a while in principle but my brother was stupid and bought it one day so I played. I still haven't beaten it but I got to almost the end. It's actually quite a bit harder than some past FF's imo. The only thing I would've fixed about the battle system was some way to use past mastery on other jobs (subjob system in FFXI, battle skill in FFT, etc.) but the game was pretty nice, changing from Yuna's whm I believe to her Flower special makes her completely naked and I swear they put some bush on her (I thought that flower combo was pretty strong so I used it alllllllll the time)

As to what was previously said, the story in the beginning is pretty weak. I don't really care for the whole "sphere" thing and the music is nothing too special. I think the battle system is where the game really shines, and the continuation of the FFX story (the ending had me almost in tears, at least, the good ending did).

Overall, I'd give it a 7/10 I aseriously love the battle system, though... it's by far the best ATB in any FF game, since various things can happen at the same time.
Everything makes you cry cause your a softy

FFX-2 = I cant dodge fucking lightning bolts on FFX so I will wait for FFXII. Someone help me I have broke 2 controllers trying to dodge them

If you want to dodge the lightning bolts, mute the sound and go by the flash of light that appears on your screen. I remember that's what I did, and like after every 20 bolts I paused it and went and had a smoke lol because I didn't want to fuck up and start over.

I agree X was horribly mediocre, I just could never get into that game and I tried many times.
But I do enjoy FFX-2, I have not played it for a while, but I remember when I did that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
That minigame where you had the gun was lots of fun, I completely finished it (there is a gltch if you stand under the waterfall thing).
Only thing I did not like about the game was the whole mission theme, did not feel very FFish, overall though a good game.

I thouroughly enjoyed FFX for the story, (lolgirl) and so naturally I was excited for FFX-2. I hated FFX-2 from the start because I was expecting it to be like FFX and yeah...it was just ridiculous I agree that the battle system was nice but that's not my @1 for playing an RPG.

FFX's story wasn't as bad as you're all making it sound. I really enjoyed it and FFX-2 I bought when it came out but it was too embarrasing to play when my friend who lived down the street, who got me into Final Fantasy, wasn't playing it. Oh wait, his older Sister was playing it though, and she made fun of me for playing it lol. So I just got my store credit for that stupid game.

The game wasn't really stupid though, I don't remember much but I do remember that CS where Yuna does the concert in the rain. Who was that other girl on the strategy guide btw, Luna or something I forgot? But apparently the story got good later on in the game, I really didn't hit good story line I guess in the short time that I played it. Is it worth picking back up and going through?

    10 was great.
X-2 was too easy once you have 3 berserkers capped out and going batshit crazy on everything you fight. The storyline picks up with the Shuyin/Lenne stuff and gets surprisingly dark. It's a bit of a Tidus/Yuna parallel but the dude is just sad and desperate. What you have to realize playing through is the story doesn't really end up being about yuna.

I love the opening song <.<

maybe...but I'm never, ever ever going to play X again. EVER.

Yet I'll be playing VI for the 20th time again when it comes out for the DS...god I hope XII is as good as it sounds so far.

I liked FFX. I started playing x-2 got about 30 mins into it, couldn't get over how horribly aimed it was at teen boys who wanted to beat off to the pritty looking anmie girls, and girls for "girl power!" shut it off and gave to me 12 year old female cousin.

    She loved it.

I think that just sounds like a horrible stereotype, I liked the battle system and the ability to finish the storyline...

if you didn't like it due to the fact that the main characters were girls and the cheesy lines... you probably just have gender identity issues based on the fact that you focus too much on the character dialog and ignore the storyline, gameplay, and battle system... and frankly need to be a little more secure with your sexuality...

X-2 was good and all, but...

THE MUSIC FUCKING SUCKED OMG I HATED THAT FUCKING RETARTED ASS SOUNDTRACK.

It was just like some kid beating his dick against a synthesizer while trying to dodge bullets. I. HATED. THAT. MUSIC.

Nobuo Uematsu didn't do the music for FFX-2, and that's why the music SUCKED.

    /rant

Other than that, Catnip + Low HP + Trigger Happy = lolpwned.

    (I hate that fucking music...)

I played it for a really really short amount of time and hated it. I loved 10 too...oh well. The music got on my nerves, and I hate. hate. hate. HATED Yuna in it to the point I wanted to shoot myself.

What do you mean by suck? Both, thought I especially didn't find X-2 fun, are a lot better than over half the other RPGs that came out the years they came out, in storyline, gameplay, and graphics.
