yes that must be it. I didn't like it because i have gender identity issues. It had nothing to do with it starting out with a britney spears video and having bassicly no storyline for the 30 mins i spent playing it.

You can't base an overall opinion of a 40+ hour RPG in the first 30 minutes...
Lol yes you can. It's supposed to draw you in in those first 30 minutes, not repel you. One of the reasons KH2 fucking sucks balls.Originally Posted by Charitwo
KH2 was awesome. And X-2 is better than you give it credit for. The beginning was pretty shitty but generally you don't buy a game to play for 30 minutes, at least not an FF game. SE knows the name means a lot to the consumer so they don't have to throw shit out right away, they can build up to it. X-2 got a lot better as you move on, the battle system is pretty hot like I said before and the story isn't bad, though I couldn't stand the characters (I couldn't stand FFX ones either) so I had to force myself past some parts. First 30min does not an RPG make.Originally Posted by Demosthenes
KH2 is just awesome, but I think this might be what he's talking about.
lawl @ "Bitch, this isn't a cutscene!"
I don't think he was referencing to that video, but I think the opening point that vid makes is what he meant. KH2 does start slow, but the game was great overall. Similar to FFX-2, but KH2 is far better.Originally Posted by Charla

Quite an exaggeration BRP, but that hilarious youtube link is right. It shouldn't take 4 hours to get to the fun part of the game.
So is saying KH2 fucking sucked balls because of the first 30 minutes.Originally Posted by Revenant2
That would be the same as saying FF7 sucked balls because of Midgar. LOL (which everyone hates)
HEY ROCL! YOU SCORED A HI-POTION.
FFX and FFX-2 both had some really awesome story lines, but in my opinion, one of the biggest flaws for both games is the random encounter rate. I mean, it gets really fucking annoying when you have to enter a random encounter literally every 3-4 steps. When I played the games I wish they had taken Xenogears's example, where the random encounter rate was perfect and you were still able to level up.
X-2's battle system was weak too because some of the normal random encounter battles were long as hell and you often had to change dresspheres to kill multiple enemies, but you also had to try and diversify your dressphere usage if you wanted to learn new abilities. The game was fun, but had these nuisances.
Huh? The first missions in Midgar are one of the best parts of FF7.Originally Posted by Carbon

I found FFX-2's battle system to be easier than most people seem to be making it out to be <.< once you have berserkers leveled it's just a bloodbath to the end of the game(only the last boss of the Via Infinito takes a strategy). "Evade and Counter" is ridiculous. Still I leveled every dress and probably mastered all but the special ones. (flower/machina/swordmonster thing) Meanwhile FFX-2's story gets really (REALLY) strong near the end, people who quit because of the opening are missing out.
I like midgar in FF7, you can level cloud's limit breaks once you meet aeris in the little area before the wall market. It's fun to get finishing touch at level 19, and the run up the shinra tower is fun. Of course it gets blown away the moment you get to Kalm (or whatever it's called) and Cloud tells the story of Nibelheim being burned down.
I let paine learn berserker, then stuck the haste and double HP(or double STR?) item on her, and she goes wild. She doesnt stop attacking, evades and counters, counters magic, sometimes she gets in like 3+ attacks before anyone else can even move. Other battles I equip her with the regen bangles, and if the other 2 girls die, paine can just finish the monsters solo.
That's kinda unbalanced if you only have 1 person gaining xp >.>
hence why i said "if"
Well, i ended up sticking with it and have enjoyed myself so far. Story is picking up and am really enjoying the battle system. Just fought Dark Yojimimbo(sp), and was incredibly fun, took an hour of because i was like lvl twenty and he SPAMS that 1hp/1mp move..... Asshole >.>.
Anyways, probably gonna try and beat it by tuesday for FF12, but who knows, it may be on the back burner for a while.
