Rdm can still put dmg onpar with most average melee at those level with sword merit. >_> Unless your party suck ass and drain your mp, there is no reason not to engage the mobs.

question I have a walkure's mask but I've been having my nin use the hairpin. I noticed in your SS you used the mask (or probably the hq one). Does it seem to work out ok? <-lol lowbie mage gone melee question.

well I feel that mithra natural evasion is pretty decent, depending on your setup, you see the pld insisted on tanking, so I was free to pull hate via DD as much as I wanted. if I were tanking I would definatly stay with the emp, maybe even used the eva pants, but I believe that I can balance a good bit of atk and as long as I have a haste, a slow, and an elegy, go with more attack gear
so if you have a brd and a slower, go full attack and spin the wheel of wiggle, otherwise stick to eva and slow wheel spinning

Depends what you're fighting. If you're fighting some silly VT or low acc mob, gogo walkure/valkyrie. Otherwise go emp pin.

I'm just saying I highly doubt RDM dmg would be sufficient to even warrant meleeing, especially against those Anticans. Depending on lvl gap, the RDM most likely has Refresh. The only time I think a RDM should melee something is when they are soloing

ty for the info. btw dunno if you've tried it, but that high breath mantle rocks. I can keep hate well without doing too much wheel spam. I can definitely tell the difference when it wears off.

I'll second this. The High-Breath mantle makes tanking in capped areas a real joke, and I'm sure its similar for EXP.
