Karma over there works in a rather silly way. Every post you make rates you 2x at your base karma, which helps to lock you in place where you are. If you have two people, one gets rated down on all of his first 1k posts, then rated up once for all of his next 1k posts, and another that the opposite happens, the first person will not even have scholar, but the second will be guru. Getting guru is basically all about getting rated up a lot early on. Once you get over 10k posts or so, it's virtually impossible (it becomes incredidbly difficult long before that) to change your karma by any significant amount (it took me almost 2 weeks of constant rate ups to get from 2.98->3.01, which had to have been 1-2k net rate ups total at least).

It's pretty silly really.


Look at the good news though: Now seriha has another reason to hate the evil monster that is bg, which has held a grudge against her for 9000 years now.

99% of mellowy's posts are about smn, and half of them relate to melee. He's more half serious about it. Not completely joking, but not meant to be taken completely seriously either.

Atma is still not widely understood even by good players. The 'minimum standard' has not permeated far enough yet to become a minimum standard. It is probably only the minimum standard for a few elite ls.

Having 2 lunar abyssites puts you ahead of the learning curve. It's like this guy is suggesting that "Abyssea is more than exp'ing" is some kind of progressive thinking.

Fucking hell. 5-hits are hard, atma are mysterious, unknown things only people ahead of the curve have, missions can't be finished in 6 years of talking shit on forums, all it needs is something about melee rdm and it'd be my favourite thread.
