LotB is the only reason I even stop by and check that forum. Their stuff is a nice surprise. I used to be able to get 6 75 BSTs (atleast) together to do stuff, now its damned near impossible since they all quit. On asura, the first Tiamat kill was from a BST/SMN alliance that my friends and I put together.

However, the other 99% of posters there have no clue how both sides work, from the all BST strategy to the "normie" strategy and it's painfully apparant in their posts.

They are an all BST ls forget which server.

I think they killed all the sky gods w/ 17 BSTs + flamingo's and maybe 1 RDM/DRK for chain stun on which ever has chainspell (I R SKY dumb).


Edit: they also killed Kirin, but had to zombie at one point when the summons got out of hand. (I think they had a couple of normal jobs w/ them to help out)


basically they try to do everything a normal LS would do, but with all BSTs. (sans ground / sea stuff)

I think the absolute "wow" thing they did was the CoP mission with the 4 pots. Two of them subbed /blm for ES sleepga and they managed to finish that bc (and all of CoP as all BST). Really neat.

Does Bst need anything anyway? I like it as is. Anything new would be a bonus, but unneeded. Think of any zone that has charmable mobs in it and Bst already dominate that zone. At level 63, I have LS members asking for my help on everything. It's nice to have a lvl 70 Blu tell you that they're jealous of you. Give me even more abilities and people will start screaming nerf.

* Bst is the best soloing job bar none - chain 3 (or 4 or even 5) possible and no down time
* Bst is easily the best farmer at 75. I can go into Crawlers Nest barely dressed and devistate the place with Courier Carrie. If I was able to use a tougher jug I could devistate it all the quicker.
* Bsts have to be the best nm soloers in the game

Yeah crazy chain 3 or omg chain 5, 3-5k solo!!!! Too bad my BLM can solo pets since about lvl 20 -72 for much more xp. Too bad NIN since around 37 can out solo xp bst as well.

By far the Best NM soloers in the game. Cept those that don't have any local charmable mobs... you know like most of the mobs NM's worth killing. LOLaquarius

I am of the frame of thought that BST does not need adjustment. Every job has it's own unique style of gameplay and I've tried many of them, but it's the BST style that I prefer the most. Anything that relegates my BST to a simple DD doesn't add any enjoyment to my playtime. Pumping out the most damage has never been a factor in the particular activities I choose to use my BST. Despite this, I have not been passed over for missions or activities or even invites to dynamis and endgame linkshells. They all knew that I refuse to deck myself out in nice gear and no one has ever complained about my abilities or my contribution. It is my sincere opinion that gear or damage has NOTHING to do with the quality of a beastmaster. Just one of many things unique to us.

... Apparantly the style of doing no damage with other people only contributes to the supreme strategy of keeping hate pinned on Courier Carrie. And yeah my style of not getting nice gear only factors into that.

So I've noticed lately that I micharm a lot more on Ice days (as much as Darkdays or more). It happens to me far too often to dismiss it as just a "bad streak".
Anyone else noticed this?
Maybe it's because Iceday is oriented to dark elements...

Those guys are on Shiva. And really, with how kings have been going last couple days, LotB if told could go attempt Fafnir, lol. There was only one full LS at Fafnir last two nights, and they rarely hunt kings just decided to show.

A lot of the THF section on Alla is full of stupid. Though KI has been bugging me more. I haven't been around Alla and I always love to incite flame wars on those forums, the earlier thf thread linked I haven't even read at all >.>
