What do you know about experience parties, Mr Big Shot Bard, except how to get a free ride to 75? Ever give it some thought that most of us couldn't give a rat's a$$ about drama-filled, ego-rampant endgame events?

So Puppetmasters don't have a specific role in endgame battles? Was there something in the ToS that required me to give a crap? Am I supposed to toss the AF I have right now and stop leveling this job just because someone who is a bit too high on himself says experience parties are meaningless?

Its funny, all the people talking about how awesome a Pup is, are talking about how it fares in xp situations, which means absolutely NOTHING.

The reason Pup fails, is as Kerb said, it doesn't have a spot in an alliance in any big fight. Why would you put it into an alliance over a ranger or black mage? The black mage will do more nuke damage and can stun when needed. A ranger does waaayyy more damage per shot with better accuracy against lvl 90 mobs. The pup can't chi blast a mob like a monk for damage against mobs that can't be melee'ed, and against mobs that can be, the pups damage will be less than a monks because of the lower skill. You can throw the Puppet in at the same time and maybe come close, but you're adding twice the tp for comparable damage since the puppet and the controller are both feeding it tp.

Pup may be a jack of all trades job that can fill alot of slots in lolxp parties, but thats all it can do. Kerberoz may be a Richard, but hes right and covering your ears and chanting won't change the fact that the Pup job is subpar for anything but xp parties, and it only barely shines there.

Furthermore, you never listed the current proposed theory as being false, the current proposed theory is race/weapon combo on AV. Also seeing as sea has race elements incorporated into it (5 towers, one race goes up respective tower in CoP 8-3) it would fit the scheme of things for sure.

"Locking" of AV was a bug that was ninja-edited by SquareEnix since apparently it wasn't supposed to work that way. Stop saying there's a new way to lock it because apparently there isn't.

Where is your proof that ALL forms of locking it were bugs? Where is your proof that SE took out all methods to lock it?

Square has made it abundantly clear in several interviews that players in general are nowhere near the right track on figuring out how to kill AV.

But those were most likely before this topic was posted and even if it was after this topic was posted SE most likely hasn't seen this topic. I doubt anyone has come up with anywhere near as credible a theory as this. If the interview states they have seen this topic, then provide that source please.

So in conclusion anything coming from. Anything based on. Anything with any regards to the aforementioned FALSE hopes of how to kill AV is NULL and VOID.

Your theory may work but in all honesty its just rumors with no basis in tangible fact. Ingame text is not good enough for someone to try to eat multiple aeorga IVs and meteors.

Sure it is, I'd be all for testing out a new theory, a little exp loss is worth finding out if it works or not, I'd rather lose a massive amount of exp and be able to at least get AVs drops, than never know because no one else would probably do try it anyway and who knows if SE would release AV lock info on their own.

They can do anything they want with those jobs, theoretically it would only take 7 players with said job/race combo to lock AV, that leaves the other players fighting AV to go with whatever job they want.

There was only one consistency when AVs were locked. That is that NONE of them and I mean NONE, ZERO, ZILCH, ZIP, NADA functioned properly after observing a "lock".

That doesn't mean he can't be locked the proper way and not glitch up, nice logic kiddo.

Well, AV DOES drop the best ring for melees in the game (Acc+8, Attack+8), RRIII Rod, The best GTK in the game second to relic that can bump you up to a 5-hit setup /w/ most Samurai Rolls

To find a way to fight AV, is just finding out a way to stay alive vs meteors and tier IV -ga's

That is what the OP is proposing, after all hits from each weapon connect when used by the proper race, AV 2 HRs would lock up possibly permanently.

One thing I wondered, has anyone tried fighting with an alliance fully equipped with virtue stones? I'm not talking about the weapons, just the stones. As stated on them and discussed here they have the 'virtue' status as a description. I've seen lots of stuff about the weapons posted all over the place, but not about anyone who simply put stones as ammo on every alliance member.

That's a really good idea, people should try that. It makes sense seeing as how AV asks people to be virtuous. AV may just be activating 2hrs, etc because people are not virtuous that are dealing damage, have hate, etc.
