Normally not a fan of this thread, but thought this was pretty funny:

One person asked about how to deal with the elementals that pop during the Better Than One assault. I suggested that a RDM cast diaga or banishga on the elementals and kite them off. This was a reply to that suggestion:

I would think that a better way of gathering up the elementals would be to run a circuit with a long-casting spell to magic aggro them.

It pisses me off to no end to see any end game shell reject newer and/or weaker players simply because they're not elite.

It's going to be hell trying to organize a ZM5 party, and I KNOW I will run into the scenario of "as long as we don't have to go to ifrits caulderon".

If anybody on bahamut wants to spread bad things about me on the server so I can't get into ANY endgame shells, then by all means go for it. My name is in my sig. Know one thing though - just because I don't have these things now doesn't mean I wont have them, and I understand now that I can't just walk into an EXPERIENCED endgame shell, with no clears or anything.

They don't have to spread bad things, you are doing it for us. You have freaking Maat in your sig and the date you hit a lvl75 job as if those are accomplishments on these boards.

That's fine, I'm prepared for it. And not going to run from it and go to another server either. There will be some reasonable leader out there who will ask questions about what I have and by then, I will have them. Things like this I can fix.

I do not think I'm a hot shot and should have things handed to me on a silver platter. If I knew where and what point in that thread whatever I said that brought these assumptions on, I would have not said them. I was angry and didn't think straight.

And getting 75 is a huge accomplishment for me because it took 5 years do it, regardless of what job I had. I've had to quit alot over RL issues and some over game issues, and soon I'll have to leave again because I'll be unable to afford my account. It may not be a big deal to you or anybody left in the game because you have 7 75 jobs but it means a lot to me.

Fourth fight consisted of Aero 3x2 > SS Aero 3x3 > SS > Cure IV > Aero 3x..you get the picture - aka ran over. First three fights were all bad strategies. Well the first one would have been won but thats a long story.

No. Whats the point in running? Aside from the assumptions made of me, I haven't done anything wrong to anyone. If I never get in a endgame shell, long after I've gained sky/sea access, then well so be it.

The thing about endgame shells is, you don't need one to get sky/sea.

Ok wtf, after reading the thread, a dynamis shell that won't help you get clears is kinda dickish, but hey maybe look for one that is actually recruiting. But not having at least Safehold or Sky access? That's all you.

I posted that. When we did that, we used a NIN tank and pulled elementals one by one to nuke down.

As far as the magic aggro thing, why wouldn't that work? I wasn't sure about it, so I went up to sky and tested it out. Casting a teleport spell out of aggro range, then running up to magic aggro mobs. Is there something I'm missing here or am I missing the point entirely?

When I lvled my brd on another server, I just did a /sea all or asked if anyone was doing a dynamis for the win, and I would ask if I could hop in real quick for the win and get a W2. I got glaciers access in like 3 weeks. Was easiest shit ever.

The guy who posted this is on my server which made it even better. Apparently if you're a BLM wearing dalm, you're retarded because you didn't buy a black cloak which is cheaper. Nevermind the fact that most BLM who wear dalm also have RDM leveled. But wait, I guess dalm sucks for RDM since it's just an overexpensive verm, nevermind the fact it frees up your head slot.

Hozu is a douche anyway....My nyzul static got a Dryad staff from appraisal once and no one wanted it so we figured we would shout to sell it until it dropped to someone. Hozu starts sending me tells to give it to him for free because he's been camping it for a week now with no drop. After it dropped (to a friend of a member that logged him on), Hozu keeps sending me tells and shouting about how lame it is that I didn't give it to him. Cry moar.
