I feel like I should do a little homework on the people who are ganging up against me (in the past it has always been casual gamers trying to belittle me for being in endgame at one point in time).

Joachim I can do my research on here on siren. He's apparently very versatile and believes that versatility > efficiency. Basically I've checked him out on several occasions and this has translated to "I have lots of jobs at 75 and I'm fucking horrible at all of them". He has never been in endgame and most likely never will be according to the resumes I've heard about him.

This "Hyanmen" guy is apparently part of some EU shells on Fairy. Anyone here on Fairy know about "IIIOceanicSkyIII" or "IIOsSalvagersII"? Are they any good or can I put him in the "I don't know shit about endgame yet can't stop putting all the endgamers down" corner?

considering when I first found out about alla and their site looking like total shit I didn't exactly feel safe browsing the site so I even even bothered to look and see if they had a forum or anything.

OceanicSky was my sky LS that broke around 2 years ago. I made OSSalvagers a bit before that (I lead it), and we've been doing 3-4 runs a week for around 2 and half years now. We're not all excellent players, but it's not like it has stopped us from being fairly successful LS on the server. OS itself wasn't really that good LS, but it lasted for the longest time (I think it was the oldest sky LS on Fairy at some point).

Seriously though, if I ask for proof or some examples is that too much asked? From what it seems like you've just been alienated from the general playerbase, or your LS is going through some crisis because they're all capped on drops.. and you still haven't replied to my question: if everyone is capped on gear, who are the people buying the drops?

At least on my server I haven't heard anything about selling salvage drops, at least Regularly or that it'd be the "main source" where people get their drops from. Of course I could be wrong, in that case someone from Fairy who knows more than me could come up and enlighten me.

Well Fairy isn't like other servers. I could've answered your question over there but you blew up and told me I was "getting off topic" iirc. The people buying these items are people who are interested in endgame armor (bahamut staff, bahamut's mask, Salvage 35s and sometimes 25s, Black Belt items, etc) but don't want to dedicate their lives to this game. They have found a way to beat the system, and grind away making gil to buy the rights to lot the items they want. Now granted they still won't get things like Dring probably but if someone farms up 5M and comes to your limbus group saying "Hey let me lot 1 piece of homam my choice you can have the others" and hands you 5M, you can't tell me you wouldn't at least think about it. Its another way of putting in your work without having to be part of an HNMLS or EventLS.

Now I haven't ever been on fairy. I still have no idea how your server works despite my best efforts to do some homework and find out what your world is like. Basically I think your server is like the country-side and my server (along with others that have heavy endgame scenes) is like downtown Manhattan. Its just a totally different scene over here and it definately exists elsewhere. The biggest hint I threw at you to legitimize my claim is that SE put "Purchasing the rights to lot items" as a main way that people make gil. If they have recognized that as a legitimate means to get endgame gear or to make your money so you can buy what you need, it says a lot.

IMO I only told you it was getting off topic because the subject changed from the difficulty/size of endgame to what I have done and what you predict I would be like when it comes to doing endgame.. instead of arguing if everyone is capped on drops (which I felt was your main argument at the start, and actually had something to do with the subject of the thread).

But yes, I think you have the right idea of how my server is like (according to what I've seen, it's not like I know for sure how it is). We don't have groups selling drops (yet) at least when it comes to Salvage. I believe that your server is totally different to mine, and that there are definitely more servers like that out there, but there are also more servers like mine which we have to take into consideration as well.

IMO it all comes down to averages. How big % of the playerbase is in your shoes, and how big % is in mine. If there are only 10%~ players like you, that still leaves 90% to be like me and in that case SE hasn't got much to worry about. If it's the opposite, well, then you're correct in your statement that SE has to step up and add more endgame fast.

back in 04 i use to read alla. you MIGHT find 2-3 posts on there from me about whm. now if only i coudl think of what my name was i think they where golden posts. something about mnd>mp for cure V. got flamed. then in i think 06 i found BG ~_~ things got so much better from that point on.

try it with an LS that isnt full of Homam and ares players. Players without relics. No black belt monks. No usukane samurais.

Einherjar is only easy if you go with a fully decked group. I guarantee that you would suck balls if your group wasnt already pimp. Stop saying an event is easy or hard. It depends what group you go with. Most of the sucessfull einherjar shells are decked out with people who already do endgame and have killer gear.

I DARE you to do einherjar without any of that endgame equipment and then tell us that its easy.

My group goes with samurais with 6 hit builds. Aegis plds. BB monks. Duelist chapeau rdms and the like. Really HQ stuff - and we still DO lose.

Stop taking your kraken club drks and then try it.

For average joe linkshells einherjar still IS one of the hardest events to do - its not because they suck - its because the event IS hard and they are doing it with what they have which ultimately isnt the best white boardered sh*t you are using.

thats not a terribly "out there" statement. Good gear vs AH gear could be the difference between an extra WS or 2 getting off per mob which would be the difference between ample MP or a few people dying. A good example would be slimes, 1-2 more fluid spreads can cause a few dead bodies.
