    Hlep (ISP issues)

Yeah atm my connection keeps dipping out sporadically but not enough to kill my connection, just enough to boot me from some games and kill my browsing for about 30 seconds -_- it's actuallyr ather annoying. I called my ISP and they said it was a physical problem with the line but im not so sure of that because it works fine at really retardedly offpeak times like 4AM.

Turn off comp, unplug ethernet cable, unplug any routers, switches, or modems you have. Plug directly into your cable modem dealio if you have a router or switch, turn crap back and see how that goes.

Did that already, gonna reset it again in a minute or 2 though and see if that buys me a little stability.

Have another computer? Give that one a try.

If its still running slugish, something wrong on their side, if its running fine, something needs to be tweaked on your comp.

If another comp is running bad, call them up and tell them you need to have your line restarted on their end. They basicly just flush/register/release/renew and it some times works a bit better.

Which ISP? If its Time Warner, they've been having crappy service for the past 2 weeks. 200 pings to local servers.

Dunno where you live, but cold weather sometime mess up internet connection here. Create more tension on cable cause of the cold weather, and more packet are lost.

Sounds like your ISP is traffic shaping to block heavy p2p use.

    call them up?

they might be doing maintenance in your area or something.

edit: nvm saw you called them, it might be a problem with a bad router or something in your areas CO. The internet has been pretty slow lately
