I've noticed the JP's don't really seem to have the same kind of FFXI websites as we do. They all seem to be fairly smallscale or just blog type things.

Good to see FFXIclopedia made the list, though. At least there's one site worth a damn for info out of the bunch...

yeah and now a bunch of morons can update it with misinformation <.<

Wikis are nice for a self-correcting process...that is, if we find n00bstuff, it will get edited unto death.

(I've been known to correct/update a few things from time to time myself.)

The admins there are real good about keeping an eye out for obvious stupidity, they know their game.

The .jp POL site has 'fansite links' but a lot of those pages are social linkshells with some rudimentary information sharing, and quite a few of the links are dead/out of date. They're about as practical as the Vana'Diel Tribune. Fluff without function.

They level in alliances 24 hours a day seven days a week? They just have more time than you do.

The .jp POL site has 'fansite links' but a lot of those pages are social linkshells with some rudimentary information sharing, and quite a few of the links are dead/out of date. They're about as practical as the Vana'Diel Tribune. Fluff without function.

Maybe we should try something similar. Maybe a community built around a linkshell's website with some rudimentary information sharing is the way to go. Fluff without function, but never know, it might work.

While somepage doesn't have "discussions" about quests, that is sometimes prefered because look at the people that "discuss" quests on alla. They spread a lot of misinformation around.

If you just want simple cut-and-dry information without random bullshit, I'd go to somepage.
