Nope, you needed a semi colon in front of however, and it needs to be uncapitalized.

I specifically used However to avoid that. I was going to say "I renamed the topic, but I should have..." but then thought that should either be "I renamed the topic; but I should have..." or "I renamed the topic, but should have...". Instead, I used However to make a new sentence.

The real error in that sentence is the double period at the end!
