Neither will a BLM/RDM after his/her stoneskin was eaten off by a reflected AMII and is down to 300 HP.

And if it is done right, jFo won't have the time to use Vorpal Blade.
Yea, lol, it takes a while to ready it so most of the time, u'll get out of range before he uses it if you're smart.

A blm probably won't survive a vorpal blade true, but you're an idiot if you get AM2 reflected back on you..

On fort, you either have a full alliance so you kill the ghrahs with melee, or you go in a small manaburn and sac the ghrahs away.

Why make jailers harder than you have to? It's pointless. Ix'drk, Ix'drg, Ix'mnk, Fort, and Faith can all be killed by 3 BLM/RDMs.

Ix'mnk triple pop? sounds kinda rough since you can't grav bind or stun it. With movement speed +12% maybe.

How is killing something quickly with no deaths making things harder?

Ummm.... okay.... his reflected AM2 has never gotten me below 300-ish HP, but sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night. There's not a single situation endgame where /NIN is better than /WHM or /RDM. Isn't it enough that every other job in the fucking game is a /nin-monkey
His reflected spell never hurt me, that sound better than 300ish hp.

You can actually blink tank 3/4 hits on vorpal, which is enough to survive. I took 100dmg and 200dmg on our last JoF on blm/nin. That said, I still got lucky cause I got WS'd before it peel off my shadow, but yes, you can survive

/nin is great on prudence. The NM is still a fucking train, but avoiding sinuate rush, and being able to survive 1-3 triples attack help greatly. If there is something to kite around, those shadow will usually give you enough time to outrun it, even on flee speed.

Can also be killed by 2 blm/nin >_>...what a retarded argument. I've pulled Ix'drk solo on both war/nin and blm/nin from entrance to one tower, waiting for ghrah to turn in ball and avoiding pot. On /nin, you can kite without ever taking any dmg no problem and DoT/tier 1 nuke. With 2 blm/nin, you just have to trade hate, not really hard.

Ix'drg is actually better on blm/nin. You know when you pull, 3 wyverns are gonna cast spell. Your sub give you 3 shadows. Do you want to do some maths? Well, you shouldnt get hit in the first place, but if it does not, you lose nothing with /nin.
I find easier to solo IT aern on /nin too, because they go through stoneskin/utsu way too often.

How do you kill faith/fort with 3 blm/rdm?

Ix'mnk run fast too, but in ebon panel room, he is retarded. You can outrun him with 0% speed bonus.

I'm pretty sure it's doable, but blm/rdm give them nothing more than blm/nin. Being able to blink tank both punch and kick from the aern is the only thing you need. Having one cure 3 in the pt in this case wont hurt, but if you pull hate, you are better with /nin.

Okay... I did a little research, and suddenly this whole argument makes a lot more sense.

    Kerberoz (today):

Where do you even get off comparing these?lol Level your sub and then come back to this discussion, thanks.

Seditedi, I couldn't find you on LS community Beta, this is the most recent thing I could find:
    http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/9...ininloldh1.png

What level is your NIN now? I'll edit you out of this post if this is too outdated.

Edit: Oh shit I didn't even notice. LOL@Kerberoz's Lvl1 WHM sub, too.

Still, BLM/NIN is hardly a required or necessary sub, hence why its rarely used especially on Kujata server. I just don't get how you see losing all the abilities and spells from a /WHM or /RDM worth gaining 9 or so shadows from Utsusemi is worth the sub.
Yeah but, that's not the point. The rest of us are discussing in good faith. For example, I personally have done nearly 2 years of Dynamis, half as /whm and /rdm, half as /nin, that's where I get the context and experience to make my arguments. You guys don't even have that shit LEVELLED.

    Edit: Lol you deleted.

    LOL wow, no BLM/WHM Kerb...
That list is a bit outdated for me, got ichi and working on /NIN for RDM/NIN.
Regardless, I don't see how you can justify losing all those support abilities and spells for 9 or so shadows. BLM/NIN is rarely used and there is a reason for it, because its not necessary or mandatory by any means.

Na, had a few typos so reposted it lol.

Edit: I've still seen BLM/NIN in action by a few players, I don't know if they were very good at it, but I've seen them get killed in dynamis much much more than me as BLM/RDM. I'm sorry to say but BLM/NIN is almost like going BLM with no sub lol. You lose so many sub job abilities from subbing NIN just to gain 2 Utsusemi spells.

Well I'm blm75 and nin66...and I go everywhere as /whm. Arguing to the extremes is stupid. /nin and /whm and /rdm all have a useful function--what you sub changes how you should play.

I agree with you completely. There's only a handful of fights in this game where BLM really should sub something specific, the rest it's pretty much at your own discretion. And while I personally prefer it, all I've been arguing here is that /nin isn't a shitty sub, and that it can work just as well as the others. I just couldn't understand why these two kept coming back against it--until now.

Awful pathfinding around the pillar. You can outrun it easily. Can even get enough distance to cast fast like bio

I can agree with that. All 3 subs should have their use, and any blm should have them leveled. Play style and who you party with affect what you should sub too

Shoul DRK sub NIN or RDM in dynamis? Survival is better on /rdm, and you just gain thing over /nin?

3/4 of the thing you lose are for survival, and they don't work nearly as /nin will. Read the post the described every situation in dynamis, and tell me why /rdm is "much" better.

I'd think that people by this point would have enough experience with the mehcanics of the game to understand what /nin or /rdm/whm bring to the table without having used them.

I mean, I've never sticked my dick in the fan while it's running but I don't need to try it out before I tell you that it feels really really good and you should all go do it asap.

That being said, going wholly exclusive on one side or the other and saying people who don't use your sub are idiots is just plain silly. People have different responsibilities and different LS makeups for dynamis. Me personally, I prefer to sub whm for most zones- being able to remove paralysis or erase effects or curaga to wake my whole pt in case of sleep, being able to cure others when needed (as well as myself) I think is very valuable. I like rdm sub as well- dropping a gravity on monk mobs before the MA's call them out to start allows blms to just open up- also makes killing things like slime pets a lot easier.

I see the utility of /nin, and I think in many cases it improves survivability, but I don't like giving up all the other things that a /whm or /rdm allow me to do.

    Rofl, I missed that post.

A blm with no /whm is a bad BLM no matter how you look at it. I dont care if they use nin or rdm, because both are useful in similar situation, but not having whm is retarded.

I don't believe you need to level a job to understand how it works, but I do believe you don't understand how thing work when you don't level a subjob you need.

Except that not everyone understands the mechanics of the game well enough, obviously. Any asshole can make an account on forums and start posting, that doesn't mean they know what they're talking about, from experience or from inference. It all makes sense when you realize that when they say "blm/nin is trash," and "blm/nin is useless for everything in the game," they really mean, "I don't want to level nin." I'm now told that apparently Kerberoz has made posts on allakhazam BLM forums to the effect of "BLM doesn't need WHM sub" as well, so I'm content to put him in the 'doesn't understand the game' category.
