I have botted, but haven't had a working bot in ages. LS never camps anything that requires botting, so unless it's for personal use on soloable NMs, id have to assume noone in LS bots.

I actually think, if people were honest (I was~) that this would end up giving some very interesting results.

Well, I'm in a social LS now...so my answer was #2. But my HNM linkshell was anti-botting too. How often we claimed was evidence of that up until they made it so you can't claim NMs right off the bat.

You won't ever catch them, so they just do it secretly.. How would you know if they are botting? This is such a dumb argument and there is never a winner.. but don't be certain of anything you can't prove.

Well I know you bot. But yes it's pretty easy to prove based on how people act and behave as well as the attitudes of the LS towards botters. No it's not 100%, but I'm confident in saying that no one in my LS bots because they wouldn't last in my LS if they did.

Saying you know I bot is similar to saying you know your LS doesn't bot and I already know one of the two is wrong, so there's a pretty good chance the other is as well.

Nobody in my LS even uses POS or anything, we really pride ourself in that becauss it's hard to find a LS that dosent anymore lol, but this does leave us at a loss because nobody wants to go to a Dragon's Aery where you're 90% guranteed to get outclaimed by hax :S Only thing even came slose was there was this guy on his 2 week trial that got banned the exact same day his FAILED trial was over lol

Don't have any real reason to bot. I'm not in any HNM shells at the moment, and I really don't play any jobs with superior claiming ability. I'd much rather rely on skill and ability than resorting to a illegal 3rd-party tool.

LS who claim they don't bot are 1 of 2 things (and potentially both)..

1. Full of shit.

2. Going to disband within the next 6 months.

In order to last on ground/king competition, you need claims to keep your LS happy. No one likes to go camp something every 21-24 hours and walk out day after day with nothing to show for it. In order to keep up with LS' that DO bot, you need to even the playing field. YOU might not bot, but if your LS gets claims on a consistent basis, I can garuantee someone in your LS DOES bot.

The good guy, honest player, style LS's are wonderful in theory though. FFXI is corrupt, welcome to end game. Live it, accept it, or get lost.

I'd bother attempting to explain just how horribly wrong you are, but it isn't even worth the time, in all probability.

Contrary to popular belief, it IS possible to win claims without bots! I swear!
